"Vidor Health and Rehabilitation Center was my first choice and I thought my mom would go there, but they didn't have any opening in their Alzheimer's unit. Their staff seemed to be very nice. The director I talked to named Sylvia, she called me a couple of days ago to check on my mom and she said that although my mom was not going to their facility, if I had any question and if there's anything she could help us with, I could call her. They were very blessed to have someone like her working there. "

"My brother is at Gulf Health Care Center right now. For what they charge, the care he receives is inadequate. I know they're like everybody else, understaffed and underpaid, and I understand all that, but they're doing the best they can. I have to have a COVID test every seven days, but it is really starting to wear on me. I supposed they get the vaccination this week, but they said it doesn't matter, I still have to have a COVID test every week. He doesn't care for his roommate, and I'm going to talk to them about seeing if he can get a different roommate. He doesn't care a lot about the food, but it is adequate, and he's just not eating like he used to. Communication needs some work too. If I missed a call and tried to call them back, I rarely connect to the person I'm trying to reach. The facility appears to be well-maintained, but then again, for as much they charge, I think you ought to be getting a lot more assistance. That's why his bed sores are so bad, because he's not being turned enough."

"I was impressed at first when we decided to put her in the home they answered at in a timely manner I contacted them and they had representative come out the next day to sit and explain the process to us. Once this was done the gave my mother a quick assesment to see what condition she was in they check out her skin the check her motor skills to see how well she responded to certain things they would to they also asked her questions to see how she would respond all and all they did a great job. Once this was done they wrote up their report explain what would happen from the out and they left. Then the lady from the home called me the next day to say that they had accepted her and that they would have a room ready for her at the end of the week this was on wednesday so they only took two days to get her in from the day they came out but she was not actually bought in until about two weeks later because we had things to do and she had appointment to attend. That Friday I went in to fill out the paperwork and I know that it took less than 1-hour to have it completed and her room assigned the poeple were so nice and I met the staff they were so knowledgeable and they made me feel so comfortable with the whole situation. Oh the also contacted her doctor to get the info they needed that was one less thing I had to worry about. Once we were ready to bring her to the home they met us with a wheel chair they helped us bring all of her things to her room they introduced her to her roommate and explain visiting hours told us about all of the things they did like the had a salon, church twice a week, they had a cafateria that they could go to or they could eat in their room they were allowed to choosed they meals. They had parties every holiday and always sent out invitations for us to go and eat and have fun and meet with other people who lived there as well as their family members. This is a very family friendly facility. My kids loved going for easter egg hunts, trick or treating was so fun for them. My mom has passed on since but it is nice to know that her last days was in such a wonderful place. "

"Cypress Glen was very clean and did not smell. The staff seemed very friendly and very attentive. The eating area was clean, very nicely set up, and very roomy. "

"My mom and aunt have both been to Bonne Vie for rehab. The rehab team was amazing! Very attentive to what they were in need of to be able to successfully go home. The food was great, and the staff was loving and caring. They treated them both like family. Management was available with anything we needed. We highly recommend."

"My mom moved into Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation. It is actually a nursing home; assisted living could not meet the needs that she needed. It was very clean. As soon as I walked in, everyone greeted me right off the bat. Two to three people greeted me, and they tested me really good. They took my temperature, and I had to sign in. ll out. Every time you go, you have to log in and fill out if you've been around COVID or anything like that. I like that they are really thorough on that. They've got my mom in isolation right now because she hasn't had COVID, but she'll be out in a few days. We've talked to people in her room, they explained what they're going to do. Her therapist is in on Tuesday, and he explained everything he was about to do. We didn't want to stay in the in his way, but he was very thorough on telling us what he was about to do with mom. They are really friendly when they call. I am glad we picked this place. It's a private room, but right now she's actually isolated for the first 10 days from everyone, just to be sure. We're not sure yet if we're going to have her at semi-private room. We're going to look more to the cost because we are still paying, and she does have an income. We're going to look into the cost of a private room versus a semi-private. We haven't really crossed that bridge yet. It's only been a week, but I've been very impressed once we saw it. I have been talking to people all week. We've decided we're not moving mom anywhere; we like this place. If we had any doubt, we would say we need to keep looking. Chastity, the person we've been in contact with, has been great. She's given me her personal cell phone number to call anytime to call. That's really good that they give you their cell number. Every time we've called, she has answered the phone and has been very nice and very professional. We haven't tried the food, but she does eat good. We've kind of looked at the pricing on a semi-private. It's almost within her monthly income range. We'll have to supplement that, of course; but for the value for money, I'm happy with it. "

"My brother has been in the College Street Health Care Center for three weeks now. They are just coming back into function. They are under staffed, but they are working on getting more. The lady was telling me the last time I was there that there are three CNAs, and one just started and is currently on training. The rooms are not full though. He is in a two-person room, but he has no one in there with him. His medicine was not given to him on time, but there is nothing major that has really gone on. It's just that they're understaffed for now. They have rehabilitation services, laundry services, a barber on staff, and I have seen them one time playing dominoes in the dining room. The people that work there are very nice too. We laughed and talked to each other. When you come in, they check your temperature and give you a mask. They prefer the mask that they have. He was in quarantine at first, so in quarantine they made us wear masks, a shield, and a PPE. They also have cameras setup to see everything. He just got transferred to his room, and he's been there for about two or three days now. It's an older facility, so it's not upscale. They are talking about redoing it later on."

"I chose Clairmont Beaumont because it had a secured all women Alzheimer's unit. I had taken a tour and I was very impressed. It was a large place. The staff was pleasant and all of the residents seemed to be very content. They had an on-staff physician and psychiatrist so they could monitor her behavior. They had a separate activity room and they had a schedule for the activities. They had a day room where they do craft. I am very pleased and my mom would move in tomorrow. "

"It took the agency about two weeks to find a good and affordable caregiver for me. Everything is good. She does an excellent job and went all across the board! She is a good match for me and I am comfortable with her. She is amazing and wonderful. Very good service overall! It's very much worth the value that I am paying for. Beaumont Health is a good agency to look for caregivers. They did a great job in providing a good match for what I need. Anytime I would need their service, I would call them again. "

"My husband was a patient in this facility from Oct 23 2017 to Nov 22 2018. The staff was exceptional. They were caring and very professional. My husband was at the least to say very reluctant about going to rehab. He was very at ease and while not happy about being there, they made his stay much less stressful. I would recommend this faculity to anyone needing a rehab for their loved one. Only suggestion is to bring them extra snacks and food because the food is a little bit bland and could stand a to be a little more appealing. Other than that small complaint my husband had no other issues and we were very happy especially with the night nursing. They were awesome. "

"I was admitted here in January after going in severe respiratory distress at home and I had a major stroke in the hospital. I was totally dependent. I couldn't even lift my head. With their love, support, and help I am now up in a wheelchair and using a walker in my room. I rule the place vooming down the hallways in my wheelchair. Love to go to activities and checking out the birds and fish. Always saying hello to the staff. I know everyone and they know me. They pulled me out of the jaws of death and I really appreciate them."

"Holy Hill was an older facility, but it was clean. The staff seemed to be nice for the short time I was in there, but they ended up not accepting my mom because she was aggressive, so we had a little problem with that. The staff was kind, and from what I saw, they seemed to be OK. However, the facility could use some updating. "
