"My father is at The Guardian House. We were going to put him in the assisted living, but he's deteriorated and the doctor called hospice in and he'll be at the back at The Guardian. We're perfectly satisfied with it. I couldn't ask for any better staff. They take care of him just like he would be their own. He's not eating right now, but when he was, he enjoyed the meals. I talk to them almost every day. His room is kept clean. When you walk in, they have a seating area, and then they have another big area with the dining area and then little private areas that the family can sit in. They have a chapel."

"Holy Hill was an older facility, but it was clean. The staff seemed to be nice for the short time I was in there, but they ended up not accepting my mom because she was aggressive, so we had a little problem with that. The staff was kind, and from what I saw, they seemed to be OK. However, the facility could use some updating. "

"I went to Grand Cove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It was a nice community. I didn't taste any of the food there, but they toured me around the facilities. Very easy. It was all contained in one building. Very logical. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. It was kind of one of those once they got the information on Dad they realized that he was going to need a bit higher level of skilled nursing than what they offered."

"We're working with Resthaven Nursing & Rehab Center for my mother. We went on two different tours, and both of them were very good. We were impressed with the facilities (both inside and out), the personnel and the staff. They seemed to be helping us get things moving. They have both private and semi-private rooms, and all of them are nice. Actually, the semi-privates are almost like privates. The only thing different is that it shares a bathroom. There's enough separation between the living quarters where the beds are that it almost seems like you're in a private room. They have audiobook sessions, and they have games. They have a movie theater that looks like a real movie theater. They show movies. They have a place of worship where they have different ones come in, no matter what your faith is. They have areas outside for walking and gathering and meeting. Their dining facilities are very nice. However, one of the staff members who was the point person that we need to talk to all of a sudden was not available because of some situation at home and hasn't been for more than a week. We're trying to get something done, and we're having to start dealing with somebody else."

"My dad moved into Lake Charles Care Center in February. The facility is clean. The staff is attentive and numerous. The staff keeps me updated. They have my phone number. They call for every little thing, which is good. The food, they had an extra meal and they gave it to me. I'd pay money to eat that at a restaurant. It's clean. It's never dirty. My dad's linens are always fresh. His clothes are cleaned regularly. I can't say that I have constructive criticism or complaint about the location. Cleanliness. Good security. They make their rounds often. They renovated it recently, so it looks modern and smells clean. It's a care facility, but it's not a sterile medical facility, so it's not high and tight, but it's not stuffy. So, it's a good middle-of-the-road kind of feel to it."

"My family and I love this facility. It’s a smaller home so you get more individual care. Staff has always accommodated us for all of our needs. Facility has been added onto and they have a beautiful dining room with large bay windows to see outside. Therapy area is top notch and seem to work very hard getting people back on their feet. The gym is also very specious and they have a walking path outside. Dr. Stewart went above and beyond for my grandma while she was there. I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for my family. Grandma still goes back to visit her friends she made at the facility. I would highly recommend High Hope. "
