"Rooms are clean and inviting. Perfect size for my mom! She enjoys visiting with her neighbors but can shut the door anytime for privacy! She loves the variety of food options but is allowed a small frig for extra snacks and juice. I feel much better with my mom here with trusted caregivers to help her with anything and everything. Also like the security of the front door being locked all the time in this day and age. Staff are friendly and helpful."

"Braun’s had a good reputation, the workers are excellent, and I do not have problems in terms of the care. I have daily therapy, and they have a doctor on staff, but I have to make arrangements to see my own doctors. I am happy. "

"Brentwood Nursing Home has spiders. and I don't like spiders. They have sections going off corridors like most nursing homes. This is an old nursing home, but it has been kept up very good. The only trouble I have seen is the staffing. They're trying to hang on to CNAs and nurses. The living atmosphere is good. The activities director just quit, but they're going to get another one. The food is excellent. As for the value, I'm on Medicaid for the cost."

"I really enjoyed visiting my grandmother here. She was really happy with her stay here as well. The staff was all very friendly and respectful. I trusted their ability to care for my grandmother in a way that I would if I were able to at the time. She loved being there as well. The facility was really nice as well. "

"I had a family member at this facility. There’s great long time staff whose care and compassion for the residents is evident as soon as you walk through the door. They really wanted my loved one to feel safe, at home, and cared for. The building is clean and the food is amazing. There is no where else I would prefer to care for a loved one. I could sleep at night because I didn’t have to worry. Thank you Bethel Manor for also being kind to me and considerate of both your residents needs and supportive of families. "

"River Pointe was great. The only thing was that they don't want to accept VA down there. However, the staff was very nice. The way everything was set up was gorgeous. That would be best spot for dad, and he even said he would like to go there. They had three different sizes of rooms. They were adequate for what would be needed. "

"When my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was in need of help with her personal care. I went to visit her at Westpark when she first moved in and she was in such horrible denial and so depressed. I know a lot of it is because she was younger than most women in this facility and she was dealing with the thoughts of possibly dying from the cancer. I stayed with her for many hours those first few days. Then I had to go out of town with my job for two weeks. I came back to another person entirely. The staff had really made it their purpose to help her adjust to living in the nursing home. They made a conscious effort to help her. The staff told me that they were going to get her interested in teaching painting to the other residents. They had found out that my aunt was an art teacher when she worked. This gave my aunt something to focus her attention, other than the cancer. She lived there for two happy years before the cancer spread to her liver and she passed away. The staff really made her last two years happy ones. "

"My sister has been staying at Majestic Care of Newburgh for almost a year now. It seems like a pretty nice place. They make sure the residents know their rights. They had the equipment to accommodate her, and I have always had good interactions with the staff. She shares her room with another resident. They have activities for them, and they bring in people. They brought in little horses one time for the residents. For the holidays, they have something where the family can come. They had some Easter egg hunting, but they would use cookies for the family and the residents. They have a courtyard where they take the residents out."

"My mom was in the facility after getting Covid. She previously was in the hospital and another long term facility. Like most hospitals they ship you out to quick. The facility that she went to has since been bought out by another company. They discharged her to early and sent her home without even one bath or shower. So I got mom home and realized she needed more help. I was referred to Newburgh Healthcare and sent mom after a few days at home due to weakness ant fully rehabilitated. I can’t say enough great things about Newburgh Healthcare. The best thing is the staff cares at Newburgh Healthcare. They are privately owned and management cares. The nursing staff was very nice to mom and the CNAs were her angels caring for her daily. They would give her a bath each day and help her get dressed and go to the bathroom. The dietary staff made great meals and snacks everyday. The housekeepers kept her room and facility looking so good. If you are looking for a facility for rehabilitation for weakness or post surgery this is the place. It’s also a great place for a loved one for long term living. The therapy staff treats rehabilitation patients and long term patients like family. Newburgh Health Care has given mom another chance to live at home with family but in the future I know she has another family in Newburgh Healthcare. Again thank you Newburgh Health Care for being Moms Angels!!!"

"Woodlands Care Center was clean. My father-in-law got plenty of attention. There were lots of folks around popping in and checking on him now and again. He had three different therapists who were working with him on different rehab activities for swallowing, walking, and occupational therapy. The facility was busy. They had a lot of patients, but the staff seemed very adequate. On the downside, they have a lot of equipment that they keep in the hallways. The hallways were plenty wide enough to accommodate it, but a lot is going on in the hallways between the equipment and the people coming out of their rooms for observation like the area near the nursing stand. When they're eating a meal, the residents are somewhat supervised because they have a swallowing issue like my father-in-law did, so plenty is going on in the hallways. The staff was very friendly and very helpful though. He was on a soft foods diet and he ate all his meals there, which isn't always the case at home."

"My mom is at West River Health Campus. We have also decided to try their assisted living there. My mother-in-law was there for a couple of years before she passed, so we had some familiarity with the facility. The other thing is my mom couldn't get over the concept of being on a second floor, and so the one thing that West River had was that they're all on one level. So, she really was attracted to that over some of the other facilities that we looked at. She is still in the rehab wing, and the assisted living room will open up in about a week to two weeks. She is staying in the room that she was in for rehab until that other room opens up. I like the quality of care in the rehab. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The rehab is clean, but a little dated. The decorations appear to be dated. They look like they've been there a while. Everything is clean and well-maintained, but the decorations make it look like it was done maybe in the 1990s. I think the amenities are comparable to the others. They have a good dining room, and they have activities. I think you see those in most places. They all try to attend to those needs, but they provide them for the residents. My mom has been involved in some of their activities. They play bingo, and they have baking demonstrations where they watch you cook, and then they eat the food. They have music and a happy hour, too."

"My parents are in North River Health Campus. I love it, I think it's a nice facility, and I think they're very caring. They've been very helpful, and very patient with me, so they've been great. My parents are kind of confused, but the staff tells me they never complained about anything, so they appeared to be happy there. I have been in the courtyard, and it was very nice."
