"The Staff at the Piatt County Nursing Home was very friendly, courteous and seemed to genuinely care for the residents there. Many Nursing Homes smell of urine and/or feces, I did not notice this with the Piatt County Nursing Home. The residents all seemed very comfortable with their rooms and roommates they were rooming with. The meals served were nutritious and appropriate sizes for the individual, they were not "one size fits all", if the resident was still hungry they were allowed to have more if they requested it.The Nursing Home was well decorated for each holiday and had activities daily to keep the residents busy. Each individual and their family were made to feel as if they were at home, family members were always welcome and encouraged to visit at any time of day or night, they even had a "resident" cat that frequently came inside to visit everyone.Overall, I had a very pleasant experience while visiting the Piatt County Nursing Home and would definitely go back again. "

"The staff is great at Eastview Terrace. I have no complaints, so far. They're taking great care of my mom. The building is old, but could be updated. It's a single story. The nurse's station is in the middle of the building, and then there's a wing to each side of that station. I like that setup because no one is really very far from the nurse's station. There's a lot of staff, and they're always mingling around and know what's going on. It doesn't matter who answers the phone, they know my mom and know what's going on. I was able to try the food on Saturday before Mother's Day and what we had was great. The facility seems clean. It doesn't have a strong odor like some nursing homes do. It's just beaten up. It needs to be spruced up, but it's not dirty. They take a lot of Medicaid patients too."

"My sister was in there for about 3 plus months. The staff was wonderful very caring, therapy pushed her, the food left a lot to be desired. And the facility is nothing like the pictures anymore. But I can't praise the staff enough."

"I have found Mason Point for my husband. The people are very nice. The rooms and food are fine. They have a TV, telephone, and cable. They provide three meals a day and laundry service. The grounds are very nice with lots of trees and green space. It's adequate, and the price is not bad at all. It's cost-effective. They also take Medicaid. They have a doctor and a podiatrist on staff, plus a hairdresser, an ice cream parlor, and a library. It is nice, but it is a nursing home. "

"My wife stayed at Arthur Home for 1 night. It was an expensive overnight, but they did well. They had bingo and daytime TV. The food was fine. It was private pay and that was the most expensive option you can get -- which cost a couple hundred dollars -- but it was worth the money."

They always try hard to answer our questions and the nurses have contact with a great physician when my mom isn't feeling well. They work hard to take care of all their patients. My mother has a well lit, comfortable and lovely room that is cleaned daily. "
