My brother moved into North Carolina State Veterans Home - Kinston. It's a wonderful place, very nice, very clean, and doesn't smell like pee. Everybody welcomes you with a friendly heart. They just were so, so helpful. We're just so delighted to have him back in there. He was in there for rehab. They sent him home, but he had to go back. This is his second time. They're just wonderful. The staff was wonderful. As soon as he pulled up, he had people out there that were so excited to see him. They walked out and just greeted him with open arms, and that staff is amazing. The room has his bed in there (which is a hospital bed), and then also tables and chairs, a desk, and wardrobe closets for him to put his clothes. It's kind of like a studio apartment, but we got one that had two great big windows. It's looking right out down the road. He could see people when they're coming in, and all the trees. It is beautiful. It's all private rooms. They had a bingo setup. They had church, and then they had game night. They had a lot of activities going on all through the day as well. He just came back today. The food is great.
