My wife is now at Sunrise of North Lynbrook. My mother-in-law spent her last two years there, and they took very good care of her, so I figured it was a good place for my wife. My wife's room is nice. She has a roommate. It has a bathroom, beds, and a refrigerator. They try to keep them busy all day. I don't know how much she participates, but she walks so she's all over the place. She talks to everybody there whether they want her to or not. Their staff is wonderful. They're all very caring. They do the best they can to make her happy and see that she's taken care of. The food looks good but I haven't tried it. They take the people who are there for assisted living out on road trips. They also have people that do hair and stuff like that.

We toured Sunrise of North Lynbrook. They showed us the cafeteria in this facility, but they didn't offer food. They showed us where the residents would be eating. Everything was top-notch. It was very clean. As you walk in, you're greeted by somebody at the desk. It was a secure place, and they offered a lot.

I toured Sunrise of North Lynbrook. It was very disappointing, very depressing from the minute you walked in. It's a very dark and dreary entry. They should have brighter light. Everybody was in a wheelchair. Everybody that I saw was playing bingo, but it was circled all around the table. I didn't see anybody walking. I didn't like it. The rooms were okay. It needs overhauling. They had a kitchenette and I believe they have a microwave in the kitchen and a refrigerator. The staff was very nice. They were pleasant. I tried to be as obliging, but they could tell I wasn't happy.

The Sunrise of North Lynbrook was wonderful. The people were wonderful. The lady who gave the tour was wonderful, and the presentation was excellent. They were very thorough in explaining the pricing, the level of care, the facilities on site, and the amenities. I like the apartments. They were extremely nice and very comfortable. They explained to me that all the food is made on-site. They have 24-hour staff. And if my mother wanted to go there, whatever she wanted, they would make for her. They're very well taken care of with the food and care.

Sunrise of North Lynbrook was a very nice community, and the sales rep was very accommodating. I saw that the residents seemed to appear to be more in line with needing or requiring assistance than memory care. I remember specifically that it was a very secure environment. Some of the rooms were single rooms and some were shared. It had very nice green space, the memory care unit had its outdoor secured green space, and the location was lovely. The rooms had a refrigerator, microwave, a freezer, but not a kitchenette. If you happen to require aging in place, they're capable of doing that.

I went to Sunrise of North Lynbrook for my aunt. It was very well-presented, very nice, and clean. It's like going to someone's house. The price is a little bit pricey. It's a little bit expensive, but they have memory care, and this is privately-funded. For one studio apartment, they were saying like $176 per day, and it comes up to $9,300 and something per month, and that includes the rent plus care. They have like three square meals a day, housekeeping, and laundry, but it was a little pricey. The facility is beautiful. It's exactly how they show you in the brochure. When you go on the website, it's exactly how it is. It's very nice. It's two floors. The amenities are beautiful. They have a cafeteria, a laundry room, and activities outside. They take people out and they go shopping. It is very nice. When I went there, as a matter of fact, there was entertainment, a pianist entertaining some of the residents. At the time, I was looking for assisted living, but then I found out from the social worker where my aunt is at that she needs memory care, too. The staff showed me the setup of how it would be in the assisted living apartment, and an apartment with two bedrooms. I didn't try the food, but they did give me a menu more or less of how the foods are, and I was very impressed with the menu and what they offer to the residents. It's very impressive. Everything is within reach, and everything is nice and neat. They provide the services that certain people would need.

I did a tour of Sunrise of North Lynbrook. It is close to my home, but I didn't care for that place because of the appearance and the people that live there were all in wheelchairs. I just felt it wasn't a good fit with my parents. The staff was fine, he was helpful and informative. It was clean; but I didn't like the rooms, the bed, the living quarters. I felt that they were small, and I didn't like them at all. It's the living quarters I was very disappointed in; and activities there weren't that many compared to other places, for the people to do.

Before the pandemic, I went to go see Sunrise of North Lynbrook. It seemed lovely, especially that they allow pets because mom loves dogs. I liked the place; I wish she would move in there. The staff were lovely, and they seemed nice. I liked the layout very much.

My mother was at Sunrise of North Lynbrook and she passed away. It would've been a really nice place for her to be. The staff was incredible, very caring, and were going out of their way. They made sure I got inside to see my mom. She was in the memory care unit. When my mom was there, they were on a lockdown. I only toured the facility by Facetime. Someone walked around the entire building for me, showing me where her room would be, showing me the dining room, the TV room, where they do activities, so that's how I saw it. I wasn't allowed in. No one is allowed in to tour at all. If they're not on lockdown, they allow you to come and visit indoors, but it's like on a sunporch, which is in the front of the building, and you get to visit that way. Because my mom got so sick and my mom was in hospice, they were kind enough to let me come in and see her in her room. She was in a private room because my mom came from a hospital going to Sunrise. When you come from a hospital, even though they make sure that you test negative, they have their own double requirement to quarantine you in a private room. She was in a private room because she was being quarantined, and then just the fact that she wasn't doing well, they didn't see any point to move her into her regular room, which was a two-person room separated by a bathroom. They just wanted her to be comfortable, and the room that she was in, which was the isolation room, was much bigger. By her being in an isolation room, I could just go in because I wasn't roaming the building. I walked through a separate entrance and went right into the room, and they let me just stay with her every day. They all were nice. I even had dealings with the executive director, and everyone from the get-go was very kind. It was a very nice facility, and it was clean from what I could see, but again it was on Facetime. I know they do a lot, especially in the memory care unit, to stimulate them.

My mom is in Sunrise of North Lynbrook. I have only good things to say, it's a nice environment, the people seemed very caring, and so far it's been a great experience. Unfortunately with the covid, it's a difficult situation not being able to be with my mom physically, but I know she's being cared for, and they seemed very responsive with my request, and overall a very good review. The food is good, they could use a little more planned activities, but they're trying to do their best, the room is immaculate, clean, and the grounds are beautiful.

My mother is at Sunrise of North Lynbrook. So far, we're very happy with the care there. The people have been lovely to us and to my mother. She seems to be improving each week, and they're very good to her. It's very nice and clean, it seems like a home as opposed to a hospital, it's very bright, and it has lots of natural sunlight. It's the nicest physically, internally and externally of the places that I looked at. It has nice furnishings around. However, sometimes there's confusion as to what my mother actually got covered for under her care level, and we got conflicting information, especially when it comes to medications and supplies.

Sunrise of North Lynbrook was beautiful, even from the outside. The landscape and the outdoor porches were beautiful, and the inside was very homey. The staff was very polite and very nice. The dining area was nice. They had a little bistro/coffee shop, a hair salon, a library, a common area, and an activity room. The staff was very realistic, wonderful, answered every question, and gave us tips.

Sunrise of North Lynbrook was very nice and clean. The staff member was so helpful; however, my brother decided that he doesn't want to move into a small space. The only problem was the apartment. Otherwise, it was very nice. The staff was hospitable and very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. I didn't see any of the patients complaining there. The attendants were very friendly and all greeted us. We saw the chapel and the salon.

Sunrise of North Lynbrook was beautiful, and was actually my choice. The rooms were lovely and had a nice feel about it, and the grounds were lovely. When I was there the people were singing and there was a piano player. They also had a therapy dog in the community, which was nice. The staff members that I met were really nice and had been there for a while.

Sunrise of North Lynbrook was very good. It was very lovely. It's more expensive than the other community, yet their area for dementia, I didn't like as much as I like the one in the other community. The rest of the communities at the Sunrise were very beautiful, and they looked fine, but I didn't like the dementia area. As far as the cost, it's very difficult to estimate what the cost would be at the Sunrise because everything is like, 'You add on this and add on this and add on this.' At the other community, it is all one price. As I'm seeing this section for the dementia patients, I didn't like it as well. I didn't like the setup including the rooms, the dining area, etc. I didn't like it as much. But the rest of the place was beautiful.

I looked at Sunrise of North Lynbrook for my sister. It was beautiful and looked clean, and the people looked happy. The rooms were very nice but a little small and smaller than what my sister has now. They were nice and well set up. The dining room looked comfortable and clean.

I've seen Sunrise of North Lynbrook. The facility is very clean, and the decorations were very nicely done. Their rooms as well, as their dining room, were very nice and clean too. The staff were very pleasant. The residents seemed happy, but they were just a little bit older than my dad.

My father-in-law has been living in Sunrise for about two and a half months. I liked the layout of the facility. They have porches outside, chairs to sit on in the warm weather, and the layout of the common space is very conducive to being with friends. I thought the place was clean. He said the food is good. His apartment is very small, he shares a double with somebody else, but it was the only room available at that time. The residents seemed content and quiet. I think my father-in-law likes Sunrise.

The facility is very well kept. It is very clean and the staff was very helpful in directing my grandmother and I to our destination. The suites inside the facility are wheel chair accessible and are built with room for habitants to move around with ease. I also liked that they offered various activities for individuals to engage in such as knitting, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities in the warmer months. The only downside I felt of the facility is that it is very isolated from the surrounding area. There is no sign that indicates that you have reached the destination and parking is very limited. In addition to this, although the suites are built very homely, I got a sense that residents are often lonely. Although not possible, they should provide internet access for individuals to be able to communicate with loved ones and extend visiting hours at least until later into the evening to compensate for their emotional well-being.

They accept wheel-chaired people, and they communicate well with the residents as well as the residents.
