My wife had spent a couple of weeks at CareOne at Wayne in the nursing part. They have a rehab that she went to every day. I liked the place then, and that's why I went and I toured the apartments. It made a good impression on me. It was very nice. Everything was modern and clean. Everybody was very professional and caring. They had karaoke and bingo and had entertainment come in, play guitar, and all that sort of stuff.

My mom's a resident at CareOne at Wayne. They are renovating the outside, but it looked nice. She was moved to a nice room with windows and things. They do offer activities. Their staff was very nice, very helpful, and patient. I did not try it, but my mother enjoyed the food here. The first room she was in was very small, and she shared it with another woman. But they moved her to a larger room with windows, closet, a bureau, and their own bathroom, so that room was spacious. The other one was not very nice. In terms of value for money, she was covered for 20 days, and then after that it was quite expensive.

My mother is undergoing rehab at CareOne at Wayne. It's perfect for her needs, and it's total care. What made it a really good place was the activities coordinator. Mother gets depressive episodes once in a while, and whenever she goes through that, she was able to be calmed down by just the facility personnel without the use of any medication, and that's what makes it really good for us. I haven't had any complaints. The food in the dining area is very adequate; they don't have a lot of selections, but it's good. Services provided are basically rehab, healthcare, evaluation assessments, 24/7 nursing care, monitoring by nursing staff, and medications. Nurse practitioners are monitoring them, too, with doctor coverages. The staff is great. Her room is clean, and she's got a single room right now, which is good.

My husband is being discharged from CareOne at Wayne and is coming home. He was there for their rehab program. He's been in and out of that establishment at least four times. He was getting people walking with him, occupational therapy, and physical therapy, but my medical plans ran out of the amount of time that they had allotted for him to be there. Recently, they put up a canopy outside and let outdoor visits take place on an appointment only basis for a half hour. They've been very obliging. There's no specific person that's been taking care of my husband. He actually likes it there. I've never been inside. I know they have rooms where they join each other, but that's for the assisted living. They've kept in touch with me and I've done online sightseeing with the different people that are taking care of him. I don't really see the exercises going on, but he seems very happy with the people that do their job. It's quite expensive. It's a nice facility, but I was looking for something a little bit more off the highway. There's a lot of construction going on in that complex right now. It's quite hazardous around the outer perimeter right now because it's all being revamped, but that hasn't interfered with any of the visits that anybody has given him, and they are very strict about their half hour visits. He says they keep him clean, they wash him, and they shave him.

As my dad told me the staff at Care One was great! The rehab and nursing staff treated him like family and he felt that he was never alone. We especially would like to thank Julius from rehab for always taking an extra step to help my dad. Overall he had a great experience there. We would like to thank everyone that took care of him. You are all greatly appreciated.

My mother was at CareOne at Wayne for rehab. It was good and the staff was very good. She didn't want to go to the activities, so they would bring her some crayons and books to keep her occupied. They had dogs and other animals there. Every day, they would come and tell her what was going on with the activities. They had assisted living there too. The facility was clean and smelled nice. Everybody was nice and they would greet you. She enjoyed her meal every day. The food was good.

Keep your parents out of this one! It looks nice and is clean. However, the care is perfunctory, needs aren't being met, and the food is really awful. The doctor comes by once every several days, listens to the heart, then leaves before any questions can be asked. I don't think my dog would eat what they serve. There's absolutely no dignity for the patients and they even charge for TV and phone, which they don't tell you up front. This is an awful facility. I understand that it's a for-profit organization: I have no problem with that. However, it's awfully hard to see a senior citizen come in with a small sore and have it turn into a stage 2 bedsore under the care of the personnel who are supposed to keep an eye on this kind of thing. If I had a worst enemy, I wouldn't want he or she to be confined to Care One in Wayne.

I would NOT recomment Care One. My Mom was recently in the facility, and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance in an emergency. She was in kidney failure, and the nurses who had this information, and blood work ALL Day ignored her symptons. Luckily, when I came, I called her Dr, and she was taken to the hosital. From the very first day that my Mom was there, the nurses ignored me when I asked them a question, or said they DID NOT KNOW. My Mom also waited almost an hour when she called for the nurse to go to the bathroom. PLEASE dont send anyone you love to this facility.... SPREAD THE WORK

When I first arrived, the secretary staff were extremely rude. I came with my friend. We had to sign in at the front desk, and clearly the secretary rolled her eyes at us and did not even offer to help. We had no idea what to do/where to go, etc. We felt like we were being ignored. When we finally got to the floor where my friend's relative was, there were many, many residents in their wheelchairs just staring at us. The nursing assistants did not speak English at all, and most of these patients were Caucasian. Some of the nurses were running back and forth, and some were in the station joking and laughing and eating the whole time. One patient was yelled at to go back into their room. I think I would not recommend anyone to this facility for their loved ones.

My grandmother stays in this facility and has been there for the last 2 weeks. The food is very impressive. They serve 4 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner) and it is all actually fairly high quality. The nurses keep track of what each resident can and cannot eat and incorporate that into what meals they will be serving. The residents can even go to a "restaurant" within the facility and pick what they want off a menu, getting fresh made-to-order food at the time of their choosing. The nurses are very patient and considerate of the residents. They keep a very sharp eye on their condition and make sure that they are comfortable. The doctors stop by often enough to make sure my grandmothers money is well spent but not so often as to be a nuisance. The rooms are a decent size and there are extra chairs in the rooms for guests. Also, Care One holds activities for the residents every singe day ranging from arts and crafts to poker games. My grandmother especially loves the poker games and says that they are very well organized. Overall, Care One is a wonderful facility and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an assisted living provider.

My grandmother was recently a patient at Care One in Wayne. My grandmother had suffered from a stroke and was there for rehabilitation. The nurses were annoyed whenever the bell was rung for service, and they were always late giving her her meds. The only good thing that was there was the physical therapy...but that was it. One time a family member asked the nurse to change my grandmother and it took them over an hour to come back and change her! She ended up getting 3 massive infections that spread throughout her body and within a month and a half of being at the facility she passed away. DO NOT GO TO CARE ONE!!! Do not ignore these reviews! Please listen to all these and take your loved one to a different rehabilitation center!

My mother was recently here & I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! When you ring for a nurse it takes too long for them to respond, they don't look at your chart so they don't know why your there, they give you medication not looking if you changed the medication,if your not aware of this they can give you the wrong meds. Each nurse tells you something different as to what you can or can not do. When you take the tour of the facility they make it sound likes it's great but when you get there it's totally different. The therapists get annoyed if you don't do exactly what they want you to do & each one tells you different things you can & can not do.

Despite the self congragulatory posters and banners that adorn this facility, I would have a difficult time awarding them one star. My husband was recently a patient here and I would not recommend it to anyone. They were not equipped to accommodate a man of his height and weight. The staff were not satisfactorily responsive to requests for assistance, pain medication, ice water etc. I was not expecting anything unreasonable but I don't think I should have had to go out looking for people because his call button was ignored, shorted out etc. The nursing staff was competant but staffing was in short supply. The non-nursing staff left a lot to be desired in competency and attitude. Cleanliness was fair. One day my husband was not dressed when I arrived at 4PM they said they couldn't find his clean clothes, they were in the stand next to his bed where they were EVERYDAY! All I heard from them was what a great facility this is. They had failed to show anything that approched ok much less great.
