All I can say is, this is absolutely the worst nursing home, my father was in three of them, and this was by far the worst. He fell down twice because nobody would come and help him, nobody answers the buzzers and unfortunately he ended up passing away three hours after he got to CMC hospital, when they admitted him, he was severely dehydrated and double pneumonia with gangrene on his foot that he didn’t have when he entered that nursing home. Although nothing can bring him back this nursing home should be a last resort and I would run the screaming and I wouldn’t put another loved one in that skilled nursing facility because they are not skilled.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I don’t even know where to begin. She was recovering there from hip surgery. I usually went to visit her in the evenings. I would ring the bell for her and I would usually have to go out to find a staff person. When I would go out in the hall all the lights would be on. Every room needed help and there was nobody in sight. One day I received a phone call from the hospital emergency room. That was how I found out my mom had a fall at Hackett Hill. They did not even have the decency to call me. The hospital staff was horrified. I called Hackett Hill multiple times that day and finally they got back to me. I guess they all had to get their story straight. I’m sure they couldn’t tell me how my mother fell because nobody’s around that place. They actually tried to blame it on my mother. How she crossed her legs when she shouldn’t have or how she sat on the end of the bed when they told her not to. I have a friend who works in social services at the hospital that my mom was in who called Hackett Hill because she was horrified at the conversation that I had. I was supposed to be getting an apology phone call which never happened. Please, do not leave your loved one at Hackett Hill! Since the fall my mothers road to recovery has really gone downhill. Her life will never be the same. I have Hackett Hill to thank for that. I haven’t decided what my full recourse of actions will be yet. For now I just wanna spread the word that this is not a place to leave a loved one

This facility needs a major update! They are understaffed, the food is horrible, and morale is low. Most of the staff are helpful and work to assist where they can. I was told at the hospital by the person finding me a suitable rehab place that it was rated 5* star! I guess that was 5* out of 25*!

My mother stayed here for about 2 months, they lack the basic of care, during COVID times it’s been difficult to visit so I would do a window visit, mind you my mother was there for rehab, one of my window visits showed me the unbelievable lack of care that I truly wanted to cry, not only for my mom but for all the other patients. As I parked my car for the visit it was protocol to contact the front desk so they could make sure your loved one was at the window with a phone. I called the front desk and informed them I had arrived and they said ok, as I walked toward my moms room outside her curtain was slightly open, she looked and saw me and was excited to see me, I continued to walk over to the window waving to her, she was in a wheelchair as it’s difficult for her to walk, I was expecting to see a nurse or assistant entering her room as they knew I had arrived, but instead I see my mom try to stand up and she is in a hospital Johnny and a depends diaper falls right off of her onto the wheelchair full of urine and feces.... completely unacceptable as still no help was in the room, my mom made her way to the bathroom to get a towel to clean up her mess as she is basically naked, and proceeds to clean up her diaper. I was saying mom please wait for help and ring the button, which she proceeded to do but still no help. That was just one of the incidents I encountered at this facility. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with New Hampshire Medicare to have this place investigated. As far as the corporate offices they have done nothing. I am so grateful that my mother is now out of there, the day she was moved to her new facility, she arrived with no hearing aids and about 4 pairs of someone else’s pants all thrown in a trash bag. I called immediately and they informed me that her hearing aids where on the nurses cart in a cup, which is why they weren’t sent along with her. I have no idea why they were in a cup as they should of been charging as they were to be charged every night. The poor woman who lost about 4 pairs of pants as they just packed them along with my mother. Every experience with the director was a complete joke as well as the social worker, zero communication and zero compassion. Please please avoid this horror show of a facility at all costs

I toured this place on a late afternoon. Staffing was scarce. Patients looked unkept and the overall vibe was poor. I could over hear staff complaining about how “short staffed” they were ... and it was visually dirty.

The nurse on tonight I call "lady in black". Hope that helps you under the kind of care that is being given tonight - POOR! Example is patient wheelchair bound rang light had to use bathroom. LNA walked by 2 or 3 times. Only once said she would be there in a few minutes. 25 minutes later she showed up. Again later patient wanted to get ready for bed. Told LNA and said she would be right there. 26 minutes later she showed up. Another example of not being family friendly - patient not allowed to eat with family. Forced to sit in dining room with other patients. Only one LNA was with 4 patients and they were not encouraging patient to eat.
