Brookdale Vista is a nice place. Right now it's kind of hard to judge on certain things because the Covid restrictions are still in effect. Visiting is a little bit more stringent. We're not allowed back in their rooms. We can only meet out in the common area. Basically, there's one spot that they want people in. Other than that, I've had no problems getting an appointment to go visit my mom. It's been very nice. They were very accommodating to us when we first moved in so I appreciated that. She's only been in their assisted living for a few days, and she's comfortable in her room right now. For activities, they have a sheet on different activities and it has some activities throughout the week. I know when I first looked at the place I looked at the schedule just briefly. There were a lot of activities available there. The place has been well maintained, but it would be nicer if it was a little bit newer. There are a few things that I'm not that happy with, but I understand that it's an older facility.

I toured Brookdale Vista. What was most outstanding was the staff helping with a lot of things in terms of preparation and settling a person in. They went above and beyond. The facility was clean and well taken care of. They had adequate staff, and the patients looked happy.

I toured Brookdale Vista. It's just a wonderful building. Everything is clean and updated, and the staff is great. They have great amenities and services. They're very caring. They really consider the safety of their residents. It's just great. I love it there. It's one that we're considering. We're looking at a studio and it's a nice size. I really like it. They have a very nice menu. You can go down there any time of day and order something if you don't want to go down at mealtime, which is very nice. They have outings and transportation to doctors' visits.

Brookdale Vista was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. They had a salon, a weekly activity off site, and other group activities. Their room was my favorite. It was big and it had a little kitchenette area. I liked it.

I toured Brookdale Vista. What I liked best is the people there seemed to be engaged. They were all playing bingo and they seemed very engaged and happy. I saw some little pets, and that was cute. However, the neighborhood was not great, and it was located next to a very loud street. In the model room, they showed me, you could hear the street traffic, and I know my mom is sensitive to that. It's a very old facility, so I don't know what they can do about that. However, the staff was so nice and so wonderful. She's very caring. Out of all the people, I met, not only was she professional, but you could tell that she was a very caring person. They had a very nice courtyard. They had a nice hair and nail salon. It seemed very clean. It was just an older facility.

I really like the staff at Brookdale Vista, and I liked that it was pet friendly. The only thing I didn't like was it wasn't a secure facility. It wasn't like a memory care, and I needed more of a secure area for my grandmother. They were very knowledgeable about the facility, answered all my questions, and were very, very, very friendly. It was a nice place.

The staff at Brookdale Vista was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were in good shape. It was a different experience from the one that we chose. I felt like it was a little bit rundown and it needed updating. They had a variety of rooms. They had some of the same amenities as far as things that were included in the price. They had meals and classes, they had common areas inside and outside, and a small garden outside.

Brookdale Vista Assisted Living was very well laid out. They had a big courtyard in the center where people could go outside and sit. There was a lot of windows in the main area. It has a different feel. It's more like a nursing home, but not in a bad way. There's not as much area for the people to walk because they're more restricted in their movements and needs. They need additional care at assisted living. It was really pretty and had a lot of plants. The people were very who gave me the tour and who I spoke with. Amber and Sharon, were really, really nice and caring. The reason that they didn't go with that place is that they only have 1-bedroom units; they didn't have 2-bedroom units. The dining area itself was very nice. They had tables with tablecloths, and it was quite pleasant in there. The thing I liked about it was the fact that you don't have a lot of distance to travel from the rooms to the dining room.

Brookdale Vista wasn't as new as the other place we toured. I was able to walk around but I don't think they had a room available and they had to show me someone's apartment at the time. They asked if we can poke our heads to see how the apartment looks like. They had a couple of choices of apartments. The only thing I saw was people watching TV in their game room. When visiting they just want you to wear a mask and that was it.

High turn over rate for staff. They look and act miserable. They didn't even celebrate Easter! We have been very disappointed.

My friend stayed at Brookdale Vista for over a month. The staff was friendly. His room was pretty homey and comfortable, but nothing extravagant. It was about the right size for someone who needs assistance, it had a nice big closet, the bathroom was easily accessible, and one window facing the yard. The dining area was nice, clean and inviting. They had some classes, movies, and sing-alongs.

We chose Brookdale Vista for my mother because of the cost and the size was just right for her. The staff seems to be doing a good job of taking care of her. The food is fine. She does the exercise program, shopping, and trips out.

We visited Brookdale Vista and it was very nice. In fact, they're driving out here to do an assessment to see if my father-in-law is eligible, and we're four hours from their community. The place was very clean, they're very professional, and I think the rooms are great. You have to provide your own bed, furniture, and whatnot, but the people were gracious and we liked what we saw. We had a lot of questions when we were in the meeting. They offered to serve us lunch, but we turned it down. The staff I met with has been very helpful. She always calls me back or picks up the phone when I call her.

I liked Brookdale Vista very much. The residents were all part of the immediate community, so it still seemed like the same community although they were in assisted living, which is nice. Very large rooms, very clean, and all the staff were very helpful, very kind, and considerate. It was very well-appointed.

Yesterday was my mom’s first day at Brookdale. Her room is spacious and clean. It has brand-new carpeting, which is very nice but it's thick and difficult for wheelchairs to get through. I wish it was more like laminate. Other than that, I was very pleased. The community is very clean. They have bingo, arts and crafts, and a nice fitness room where you can do stretches. All of the technicians, staff, and aides I’ve met are very helpful. The dining room is very clean.

I picked Brookdale Vista for mom because of its proximity to my house which is less than a mile. They have 62 or 64 units in the apartments. The studio apartments are spacious, and the closets are large. The restaurant and community areas seemed adequate and bright. On Sunday, they had church services, and they have half an hour of walking and daily games. Once a week, they decide where they’re going to go or which store they’re going to go, and once a week they also had riding around, they call it a joy ride. The pricing is expensive, but it’s more reasonable than some of the other facilities that I have looked at.

Brookdale Vista is close to where we live. They have bingo, music, classes, field trips, and get togethers. They have social hours, and serve three meals a day. The food is wonderful because they have a chief. The staff is outstanding, kind, accommodating, and friendly.

We visited Brookdale Vista. It was OK, but I was not impressed when I walked in. The staff was somewhat loose and didn’t expect us, but I wanted it that way because I didn’t want them to shower us with fake kindness. The rooms were clean, average, and not really spacious. The food was OK.

I already have my mom at Brookdale Vista. The community is clean and friendly. It is also close to my home. The apartment is good. So far, the staff has been good. The dining area is open. They have seated dining three times a day. They have good activities, so far. I’m OK with what they have. They have movie nights, and they have happy hours on Friday where they serve hors d'oeuvres and drinks. They also have a piano player that comes in. They have different guests that do musical, e.g., singing or playing something.

My brother has been in Wynwood of Sparks for a couple of days, and so far we are pretty happy. He has got his own apartment, and we’re confused with the care and the director at this point. The level of care that we have him getting includes 24/7 nurse, the staff is helping him, he needs help bathing, and he is able to go out and eat in the dining room. He gets three meals a day, and the nurses there administer his medication. They have a lot of events and activities. He is just now starting to get comfortable there. They have jigsaw puzzles all over the area. The food is excellent, the place is clean, and the facility is very reasonable.

I had my dad at Wynwood of Sparks and I love the facility. I like the layout of the facility and there are only 64 units. They were also less expensive than others. I also like the people. The staff seemed to be really great. They all call him by his name and they take good care of him. They do have activities, but he is not attending too many of them.

My 86 year old father lived in Winwood for about a year. Overall we were very pleased with his care. The staff were good at following through with requests. Manager is true to his word. Food was good. Facility clean and well staffed. They worked with us taking care of many details regarding Dads care and supplies. Not a large population so staff and management know each resident by name. I believe they truly care about each resident and do go the extra mile to accommodate issues as they arise. Trusting a friend or relative to a home is difficult, there are so many horror stories out there. Our experience with Winwood of Sparks was very good. I believe they are one of the good ones out there. I recommend Winwood of Sparks for assisted living to anyone at that stage of life.

Wynwood of Sparks was a lot cheaper, but it didn't have much in the way of facilities. They didn't have swimming pools, they didn't have theaters, and their library was a couple of dozen books in the hallway. It was very nice and the rooms were nice. It is a nice facility, and it's nice to have it in mind if I changed my mind and decide to get serious.

My 94 year old friend was a resident here. After she was moved to a group home, Brookdale continued to demand for payment for the 2 months she was not there. My friend who was withdrawn and sleeping most of the time in Wynwood, is now alert, laughing and interacting in her new environment.

Mom is in Wynwood and she likes it there. It is spotlessly clean and close enough to where we live. She's in a small studio apartment which is also clean, carpeted and freshly painted. She has three meals a day. They check on her and do her housekeeping. They have all the amenities. I really like all the managerial staff. They seem very nice. My mom gets along well with the kitchen help, the servers and housekeepers. They call her by name. The food is okay. Mom eats her breakfast in her room and eats lunch and dinner in the dining area and they give her two options. They have activities like exercises and different calisthenics. Once in a while they bring in entertainment. They have a nice library and a TV room. The grounds are kept up nice and they can walk around the grounds. The price is very reasonable. We are very satisfied. I recommend it to a friend and I am recommending it to others.

Wynwood has a very clean environment. They are very professional and so far, Rick seems to be very happy there. The food is pretty good. He is in a low cholesterol diet and sometimes they serve him food that he cannot really eat but he has educated himself on know the difference between what he should and what he should not eat. They have an activity director and she's always planning educational things. She also plans birthday parties. So, they do a pretty good job with that.

Wynwood of Sparks was very nice but the units were small. My mom had a lot of things and she could only fit very limited things there. The place was clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating. For me, the place was adequate but my mom thought it was a step down from where she stayed.
