Right now, my mother is in Healthsouth Desert Canyon Rehabilitation, and we are trying to get her level of health restored to be independent enough. I don't have any complaints on any level. Everything is very good. The care and compassion of the staff and their willingness to try to help stands out.

Desert Canyon took a long time to diagnose the reason why my mom wasn't eating. It was because she had thrush in her throat. She wasn't getting a good care there. They attempted therapy with her but they couldn't do it because she wasn't eating. She was too sick. She should have been in the hospital.

The staff of Health South Desert Canyon was very pleasant when my mom was there. She had her own bedroom and bathroom, and they had some other amenities. She could go out of her room to have lunch in their little restaurant or they would come and also take her outside to the garden or for walks. It was a very clean location.
