My mother came to Bethesda Meadows for rehab two years ago after a fall. I had been struggling to keep her safe and cared for at home but after the fall, doctors advised she needed 24 hour care so we were lucky to find Bethesda Meadows. The staff, from nurses to aids, desk greeters to housekeeping, all have made me feel like I and mom are not alone but have caring people who have been with us, helping with the difficult transitions at the end of life. I know mom is not easy, but I know that they handle her difficult moods with compassion and more patience than most us could muster. I am only able to be with mom 3-4 times a week but it’s a comfort to have the staff at Bethesda Meadows to be there when I cannot and know that they will call me if mom needs me.

I have been a resident of Bethesda on 3 occasions. I love the space in the room. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating. The problem I’m having is on my second visit my room was paid for by insurance but somehow the medications were marked as self pay! I have been in contact with the business office and Omnicare and my insurance. I have given the Bethesda all the paperwork to resubmit the claim. It’s been 2 years and now it’s gone to collection! I went to get a loan for my AC/Furnace that went out !!! My credit was rejected because of the outstanding medication bill!!! Just make sure you’re that you read very carefully!!! Even when you’ve been a repeat visitor.

I was on the 2nd Floor Rehab Unit from September 24, 2019 until November 16, 2019. Everyone had a single person room. The rooms were spacious with seating for visitors. The staff was very hard working and always helpful and kind. The food was good with weekly menus printed so you could plan ahead if there was something you didn't want. For those occasions they had an a la carte menu. You needed to call ahead to get the food prepared in time for the meal. They also had snacks available 24 hours a day. The therapy there was excellent. Working with the staff to enhance the progression of the recovery. While I was there, they had a Veteran's Day ceremony which was very moving. I hope to attend in future years as it is open to the public. I would highly recommend this facility for its rehab unit. I want to thank all of the staff there for all of the hard work they did to prepare me to return to my normal life after rehab.

Shame on Bethesda Meadow! Please do no put your loved ones in their care. Bethesda Meadow “dumped” our dad. It’s a despicable practice that has caused harm to our poor dad. We have now been forced into a world of legal action and state complaints. We hope to spare another family from being in this same heartbreaking position.

My grandmother was a resident at Bethesda Meadow from 2007 until her passing yesterday. For 10 years she was in the best possible care of skilled, friendly, and compassionate nurses and management. Everything about Bethesda Meadow from its staff to its facilities and grounds is superb. The grounds are beautiful. The building itself is extremely clean with cozy and comfortable common spaces and nice bedrooms. The support staff is amazing about making sure the common spaces are clean as well as cleaning individual resident rooms daily. Beds are always made and laundry is always clean. Activities for residents are abundant and there is even a live-in dog that roams the halls to keep residents company. The nurses were fantastic about communicating with us often about how my grandma was doing. They are very personable and developed a relationship with us as her family which we really appreciated. The staff genuinely cares for all residents and goes above and beyond the outstanding care to provide companionship and emotional engagement to residents and that is what we loved most. Everyone there treated my grandma like a part of their family and we were at ease knowing she was being loved when we weren’t there with her. Even in my grandma’s final days, they took such great care of her and also cared for our family by providing us with a private room to be in with her along with pillows, blankets, and food so we could stay overnight, and emotional support by checking on us regularly. Many staff members came by our room to pay their respects and share kind words with us about my grandma which meant so much to us. My family is so grateful to Bethesda Meadow for taking care of my grandma and for being there for her and for us when we needed it most. I would absolutely recommend this nursing facility to anyone who wants peace of mind knowing that their loved ones will be in good hands. Thank you Bethesda for everything!

We really like the Meadows (Bethesda Meadow). In fact, it was one that we had chosen for my sister, but they didn’t have any openings, and it would be a long time before they had any openings. The staff was very helpful. They had an outdoor patio that was really nice for the patients to go and sit outside and enjoy. They had therapy equipment. The rooms seemed large enough, and everything was clean. They did do some activities and a big activity room with puzzles and different things like that. There were some people sitting in there and watching television.

I had to put my mom in skilled nursing at Bethesda Meadow. They seem very caring, and the place is clean. They seem to have quite a bit of activities -- they play Bingo, and they have a music therapist, crafts, and two different types of church services, so I think that they are doing a lot of things to motivate the residents. They seem to listen to any kind of concern you have, they seem to care, and they seem to be taking care of my mom.
Highly recommend A+

Excellent facility...parents live here...highly recommend...great management...great nurses and CNA's.Communication with families is important and you will find that here. Great improvements in health with excellent nursing care...may not have as fancy decor as others but the care received here has been so much more important. You will worry less and feel confident that your loved ones are safe and happy!

I absolutely do not recommend this facility. They are under staffed and neglect patients. They are argumentative and controlling with patient's families. Unfortunately, my loved one was hurt here because of the poor care and neglect of the nursing staff. My loved one suffered hours of pain while waiting for a simple Tylenol. She was told to wait for hours to use a bed pan because all the nurses were busy. Please protect your loved ones and whatever you do, do NOT bring them to this facility. You will definitely regret it.
