I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Meals delivered were not what she ordered. Call button got responses in maybe 45 minutes. Potty help was virtually non-existant. I would reccomend almost any other facility over this one.

Been visiting my brother through his window for an hour and a half now. He’s been sitting in a wet diaper and no clothes this whole time. I understand about being short staffed but an hour and a half? Come on! That’s just wrong!

The staff here is awesome - took great care of my dad and were very, very helpful finding us another facility when he had to be moved due to funds. Shout out to Stacie, Chris, Ansel and the rest of the caring staff for your efforts!!

Absolutely the worst experience. My mom was only there for a few days. In that time, she was ignored for 2 1/2 hours when first transferred there, even though she was diabetic and her feeds were turned out and she was showing signs of dehydration. When I called to ask her to be checked, a male employee came and berated me. They were not equipped to deal with her condition, even though Bethesda Hospital made it clear what her needs were. Because of this, they transferred her to the hospital in the middle of the night and did not inform her next of kin. Then they refused to take her back, causing a prolonged hospital stay. Avoid this place at all costs!

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was there recuperating from a hip and back fracture about seven years ago. I don’t understand the low ratings. The nursing staff was very capable and fun. The phys therapists were very nice and professional, I recovered much quicker than I thought possible. The food was good (except for the god awful coffee) and served hot and fresh. If you go there expecting a four star hotel, you will be disappointed. I’ve had many hospital and rehab stays in the past years and this place was just fine.

The staff nursing staff leaves a lot to be desired. Most are from foreign countries and are very hard to understand. I tried to contact the Director of Nursing and she is never available. The social worker Linda is kind, compassionate and very resourceful. The Business Office is knowledgeable but always extremely busy.

There wasn't an option for zero stars or I would have chosen that. Our father wasn't given the respect of basic cares. He was left unshaven and dirty. He didn't always have clothes changed for days at a time. He wasn't bathed until I requested it on the 17th day he was at the center. The food was comparable to bad school lunch, certainly not food that senior citizens would like. Call lights were blinking unanswered all the time. I requested a call from Director of Nursing three times to discuss concerns but never got a call. He's in another care center now who really cares about their residents.

The Administrator and DON are more about the bottom line then they are about the residents. They often overlook the concerns of the care team and the admission criteria flip flops on a daily basis. The administrator is not at the facility half the time and there is a huge turnover of staff because they are treated like garbage.

On the plus side. The building is old but kept clean and sanitary. The Nurses, therapists and office workers were polite and helpful. On the Minus side. I was power of attorney for my step father who was on Medicare and had to stay longer than 21 days. I was assigned a social worker that assured me that after 21 days there would be no co-payments on his extended coverage. That information was incorrect and I have a large bill to pay. My elderly mom and I attended a meeting with the administer of this home, she is not willing to drop this bill or even give a discount from the error her social worker made. Beware. -Rick
