"I toured Gull Creek Senior Living. It was way too expensive. Gull Creek was perfect, except that it was just way out of my price range. They do the laundry, help you with your medications, house cleaning, and you don't have to cook because they have a dining room. The apartments were being remodeled, and they were very up-to-date. It was very, very nice, and it was closer to my daughter."

"I like that Chesapeake Cottage Assisted Living was not overly institutional. There was a good combination of staff, plus a homey feel. I felt it was medical enough to care for the people, but it still felt like home. They have decent-sized rooms. They have single rooms, and they have double rooms. The double rooms have a built-in wall divider. The staff was very nice, very friendly, and answered every question (they didn't have to really think about it). They're really professional. It was lunchtime when we went there, and it smelled good."

"Lakeside At Mallard Landing was very friendly, active, and inviting. There was a lot of movement around. The rooms seemed to be well kept and were a decent size. The dining facility appeared like everybody was enjoying it. It was a friendly environment, like a restaurant type. The staff who assisted me was very accommodating and helpful. We had a slight miscommunication on the scheduling, but she was able to make as much time as possible. She offered to schedule for me to go back if necessary, but we decided that now is not the time for my mom. I didn't really observe too many activities because I wasn't able to go around the facility due to the conflict in scheduling. I saw the activity schedule. It looked like there was a variety of activities that would keep residents active and social."

"My father is at Peregrine Senior Living at Salisbury. Because of his dementia, he ended up being aggressive at times to a point where they just no longer were able to be able to care for him, but they did everything they could as far as working with my father's meds and other interventions and all that. He just couldn't stay there anymore. They were very good and they were working with me, and they weren't just going to send him away immediately. They were waiting for me to try to find a place. The memory care area is relatively small, especially when I compare it to the other facility I went to. The rooms are very nice, comfortable, and roomy enough. It's not like there's any kind of crowding as far as the rooms go. The staff has always been really good to us. Other than being small, it was a very good facility, in my opinion. I had two meals there and they were well done. Even a couple of times where I didn't have the meals but I had been there shortly before or after, the food seemed very well prepared. There's a good variety and the staff working within the memory care for serving the meals are very helpful to the residents and very polite to them."

"John B. Parsons Community had nice grounds. The community was clean, and the dining area was nice, airy, and open. They were having a Superbowl party when I was there and everybody had their team shirts on. The staff was very courteous and helpful."

"My Mom moved into Delmar Estates 2 weeks after they opened. The rooms are beautiful- nice and big and the building is bright and cheery. The staff is 100% invested in my Moms care. Anything we ask for they are able to meet our needs. Management and nursing is wonderful and very responsive. The food is great and mom loves the activities "

"I checked out Delmar Villa Assisted Living, and I think it's a really nice place. My friend moved there after she got out of the hospital. They are taking care of her medical needs, and she's getting along with everybody. I can go and see her. They do a lot and take them out and about to different places. It's really a nice place. I've been there a couple of times. I really am thrilled with the place. Every time I go, call, or take her a couple of things, they jump right in and fix them. They celebrate with everybody; somebody just had a birthday party there. I've been there when they were eating a couple of times, and it was pretty good food. They've had a few barbecues and everything seems good to me; plus, she's not losing weight. Her room is good, especially with the pandemic and everything. Everything is great. They just built a new place, and they gave me the first option if I want to put her over there for a little more money. But she's happy where she is. She's in a room with another woman about the same age and size as her, and they get along really well."

"I visited Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury. The staff went through and showed us all the different sections and explained how things work. It looked very nice and clean, and they had people working with others who needed help. What we saw were nice-looking rooms, and we even saw some that people were still sitting in and watching TV and things. My sister is coming from a full house, and I think it's going to be difficult for her to get adjusted to the one room."

"What I like the most about The Woodlands of Ocean Pines is that the front desk is very friendly and the activities that they have seem to be great. My relative lives in the assisted living and the residents there have a lot of options for them to do. They have a movie room, a puzzle room, a very pretty dining room, a game room, a card room, and a convenient hair salon. Before COVID, they had trips to the grocery store, but they might be starting that up again. They also do bingo and church services. The only thing is the nursing staff usually responds to me, but not promptly, and if you have somebody who needs help with showering but is resistant, they don't have the staff to deal with that."

"We picked Salisbury for the price. It’s not perfect, but it’s a nice place. At first, there was some staff we loved and some we hated, but now that they really have gotten to know her, she’s become friends with them. It’s really a lot better. They do a lot of activities, like bingo, arts and crafts, and tree decorating. They give her so much food that she can’t finish it. "

"My husband is at Brandywine Living at Fenwick Island. The community has made me feel like part of the family there. I'm very happy with it. I have nothing bad to say about the place. I like everything about it. They offer constant care. They treat my husband wonderfully. His room is lovely. It has a full bathroom, a window to look out at a beautiful garden, and it's quite large. The food is decent. They have some physical activities. They always have music playing. They offer different things, but my husband is not one to get too involved."

"I chose BayCare Assisted Living for my mother, and she moved in last April. I've not been inside. I visited outside. I like that it's close to me, it's affordable with my mother's budget, and it seems very nice. Everybody seems very nice, very good, very experienced, and caring. It's in the country, so it has a lot of nature to it. I would recommend them. When it all happened, it was the beginning of the pandemic, and they were the only facility that really contacted me."

"My sister-in-law moved to Paradise Senior Living. It's a very caring community. It is very homey, comfortable, and beautifully decorated for the season. It's very clean. Everybody seems to be very content and very happy. They prepare meals to order. You simply tell them what you want, and they will get it for you. I was very pleased. They draw and play games. They try to interact with one another. They provide everything, so that's a big plus."
