I like that Chesapeake Cottage Assisted Living was not overly institutional. There was a good combination of staff, plus a homey feel. I felt it was medical enough to care for the people, but it still felt like home. They have decent-sized rooms. They have single rooms, and they have double rooms. The double rooms have a built-in wall divider. The staff was very nice, very friendly, and answered every question (they didn't have to really think about it). They're really professional. It was lunchtime when we went there, and it smelled good.

Chesapeake Assisted living is the most amazing place there is. My mom has been there for more then 3 years and it has been the best experience there is. Mom was in another facility and it was not a good experience. At Chesapeake I have no worries. They take excellent care of my mom and they do anything and everything they can to help you and the resident. I would DEFINITELY recommend them!!

My sister and I would like to thank you and the staff at Chesapeake Cottage for the love and care you have provided to our Dad and to us. We were both so impressed with the way we were welcomed by you and the staff yesterday from the minute we arrived to the time we left, each person took time to meet us and share a personal comment or story about their interactions with him since his arrival last week. He seems to be fitting in well and adapting to his new surroundings thanks to all of you. We know we made the right decision to share him with the Chesapeake Cottage family.

I've always been very pleased with Chesapeake Cottage; I have not eaten the meals - they do look and smell good; the same with activities. I've only observed a few and none in the past 9 months due to COVID.

My mother is in Chesapeake Cottage. It's small, homelike, and it's in a rural setting. They have a porch with rocking chairs. The place is clean, carpeted, and smells good. The rooms are large, carpeted, has a bed, a dresser, nightstand, chairs, and television. She has a closet and a large bathroom that could accommodate a wheelchair. The dining room is small, and the residents seem to enjoy the food. They have activities and a center where senior citizens can go. They're treating my mother kind, appreciating her, calling her by her title as a retired principal, giving her that kind of respect, and looking out for her. They went above and beyond. She said the food is good. The facility is really nice.
