My mother moved into Newton Presbyterian Manor. Her apartment is nice and small, but suitable for her lifestyle. The staff has been wonderful, caring, and kind. My mom enjoys the food. They have a dining hall, a salon, an exercise room, and a courtyard.

I was in Presbyterian Manor for a little over a month. The service was excellent, and the food was wonderful. My father was there too, but I went to a different dining hall. My room was ever so clean, and they took care of my laundry every day when I went for physical therapy. It was a good thing that I got to live there because I got to see what my father went through, and we also placed my aunt there after I was done. We became like family.

We went to one in Newton campus where my great grandmother was, but they're solely on private pay, so that wouldn't have worked out for my mother. The people who assisted me were great, and I enjoyed the tour. They had games going on, and they had plenty of living space for family to come and visit. She had a nice room, and they decorated it for her. It was a beautiful place, and it had kind of like a park or garden. She ate pretty great there. She liked the food. They played dominoes, bingo, and cards, and they had a library and a game room. During holidays, they'd always have them involved in lots of activities. They were very welcoming, and I've never seen a senior home do that.
