I moved my mother here because I live in Manhattan, so it's easier. I go there pretty often, several times a week, so I've seen quite a bit of it. The facility is okay, but I think they can do more to stimulate her. It's not like they don't offer things for them to do, it's just that they don't really encourage them exactly. But I understand it's a financial thing. Even if we've highlighted things for her to go to in her calendar, she's not going to very many things. It seems like a lot of people there don't really get out and do some stuff. It just seems like a lot of them were sitting in their rooms. Maybe that's true of most nursing homes, I don't know. I haven't visited anywhere else. But they do have activities like cooking class, bingo, and she can go stay outside, so that's been a good thing.
