We have found Brookdale Junction City for my father-in-law. He hasn't moved in yet. It's a smaller facility. It's more like a family-run facility. It's fully staffed. It's really clean. The staff is very attentive to the residents that are living there. And it seems like a very friendly environment. The staff who gave the tour was very informative and was very helpful. She answered all our questions very clearly and friendly. And she was very cordial and very personable. Also, completely enclosed by the building, they have a center courtyard.

My mom has been living at Brookdale since 2021. This has been nothing but a wonderful experience for our family. We have peace of mind that she is safe and very well taken care of. She gets three nice meals and snacks each day. The staff are amazing. They are so friendly and caring. The communication is very good. They also provide regular activities in the community and outside the community. The courtyard is my mom's favorite thing about Brookdale. She loves to be out there with the flowers, birds, and turtles. I recommend Brookdale 100%!

Brookdale in Junction City, KS has been the home for three of the Rago family members. The staff and directors took very excellent care of all of us. They were attending to our needs and made sure it was a home environment. The meals were good and cooked our food to our taste and desires. They work for you and with you at all times.

Brookdale Junction City has been my Dad's home for over 6 years now. We chose Brookdale for its small size, personal family-like attitudes, nice facility, and welcoming atmosphere. I am so glad we did! The staff treat each resident like a valued and loved individual - which they are! - and not like a commodity or a "job". You never feel like you are walking into an "institution" - go in the front door, and the place looks nice, smells good, staff and residents are friendly, there are many activities offered, and usually something fun going on. My dad has memory issues and diabetes, and a small place allows him to remember - and staff to really know him, from personal quirks to dietary wants and needs. Brookdale is farther away from me than many other assisted living homes, but the quality of life for Dad is so worth the little drive for me!

Brookdale Junction City's rooms were too small for us. We just couldn't live in there, and it wouldn't accommodate us. The place was nice, but I couldn't imagine my wife and I in that room with one bathroom, shower, and a small sink. The place was really clean though, and the folks were enjoying themselves and looking good. There weren't any shortcoming about the appearance. They also had some activities going on. The person who showed us around did an excellent job.

Brookdale Junction City was a wonderful and beautiful place. It was very well-kept. The rooms were very nice and the staff was wonderful and pleasant. The residents seemed very happy. The larger room has a sitting area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, so it's a little suite, and it's very nice and large. They do a lot of work with the residents' cognitive, so they have brain games to keep them sharp. They have a lot of amenities, such as a nice outside area for sitting and reading, and a library. I wouldn't mind going there myself. The people who let me in and met me at the door, and the people working with the patients were all just wonderful smiles. They weren't mean, or nasty. They were pleasant. There's a library, dining room and kitchen. The halls just kind of goes around a large circle. The little outdoor area is in the center opened to fresh air. The place is clean. You couldn't ask for a nicer place.

My grandmother has been at Brookdale Junction City. The experience is good. They don't have as many people, which is comfortable, because then they can pay more attention to each of the individuals there, especially my grandmother for being a new resident. They welcomed her with open arms. They're taking care of her medications. There is a lot of one-on-one, which I know you can't get from a large community. They have a full calendar of scheduled activities. They have bingo, trips, they teach you how to use your iPad, there are physical type activities, and book club. Once a week they do a lot of deep cleaning, they do daily cleaning, plus they take care of my grandmother's cat. My grandmother's window faces out to the courtyard, so she has a lot of natural light. The place looks more like a home versus a care facility. The rooms could be a bit bigger, but I understand why they are that size due to the fact that most seniors don't need a lot of actual things. However, they need to improve the way they set up their billing cycle.

Brookdale Junction City was nice, but there were so many things they could not do for my mom-in-law. The staff was friendly and gave us the whole tour. They had a nice living room, a nice kitchen, a spa, and a salon. The rooms were very nice, too. The location was great and easy to get to.

My dad is in Brookdale Junction City. We were absolutely impressed with it. We were considering two other places, but they were not comparable with Brookdale. This is a nice apartment-type facility, while the other place is a prison. My dad is really comfortable there and has a nice room. The staff is fantastic and fabulous. My dad is raving about the food. In fact, they’re feeding him more than he can eat. He is not used to eating so much and so often. They have an award-winning chef who is just fabulous. Overall, I’m completely pleased with Brookdale. The prices were very comparable with other places. The facility gets 5 stars across the board.

My father is in Brookdale Junction City. I am very pleased with the overall care. I think they do a very good job. They are very receptive. I have no issues with them at this point. He has been with them for almost three months. I will say they are about average as far as the staff numbers. They can use a little more people on the weekend, and at night, but generally, I think they are pretty good. He participates in the activities. They have people come in, and speak. There are some group activities. There is an activity where everybody tries different kinds of nuts. They have all the electronic entertainments; like TVs, etcetera. They have rooms for their board games. It is a really nice place. It does not smell bad, and I think he has really good care. My dad absolutely loves the food. The grounds are really nice. It looks like you walk into somebody’s big living room. It is clean. It is the nicest one I have ever been in, and I have visited half a dozen of them. The hospital is about half-a-block away. It is in a small town; so the park is pretty close, but there are no shopping centers.

WONDERFUL!! My mom moved in last week. The staff was very attentive, even the maintance man came by to see if we needed anything. The faucet on the sink was too low to fill mom's coffee pot so he went and got a new faucet with a higher outlet and had it installed within an hour. Everyone on the staff from the aids, cooks, maintance people up to the excutive director are top notch. The rooms and facilaties are very comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending Sterling House to anyone in need of assisted living for their loved one.
