We have three staff members on 1st shift, three caregivers on 2nd shift and two staff members on third shift. Along with the staff, we have a full-time nurse, director and assistant director here from 8:00-5:00.

Being small, we get to know what residents like and dislike. Our meals are all made in our kitchen by our chef. We are focused on providing high-quality and tasty food for our residents.

Accepted Answer

We have exercising, games to get people moving, crafts, and making desserts.  We are all engaged with the residents all day. We do two activities per day.

Our Nurse assesses residents and updates their service plan. A nurse review is done every 90 days and as needed.

We have three staff members on first shift, three staff members on 2nd shift. During the hours of 8:00-5:00 there are two managers and one nurse on staff as well.

Staff has continuous training on dementia, cpr training, and dietary safety courses.

For those that wander, we use a system that allows us to know where they are in our building. We have a small building with very short hallways. We are able to see the residents most places.

Yes, we do accept pets! We have a fenced-in outdoor space that animals are able to enjoy.

Yes, we work with local hospitals and can transfer to residents to a hospital of their or their families choosing if needed.

Oak Park is a fully secured building. All exterior doors have electronic locks that require a code to open. Only the staff has the code to ensure the residents stay safe.

Our families are here all the time. We are very connected to our families. We invite all the families over for a cookout and update them on any changes at Oak Park. We do a monthly newsletter to acknowledge birthdays and milestones. Families have managers and owners direct cell numbers. They are able to contact them anytime.

Staff does 10 hours annually for dementia training. Some of these hours are hands on monitored by our nurse.

We do a lot of activities here. From crafting, live performances, Instruments, and exercising. We like to make sure we are busy!

We talk to them directly on the phone, send emails, text or talk to them in person while they are here. We communicate daily with most of our families. They stop in the office, have coffee and have a nice chat.

We are located on a cul-de-sac. There is not a lot of traffic. Walking and bike trails are very near. We take residents out on walks when the weather permits. We have a nice green space behind up with a lot of wildlife. It is very quiet and peaceful.
