The only place that really sparked my attention was The Rose of Ames. They had nice people, a one-bedroom apartment, a nice kitchen, everything. They would provide two meals a day. They had a weight room and an activity director, and they played bingo and all that stuff. The staff was real good. It was very clean.

We toured The Rose of Ames. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms and dining area were nice. The coordinator was very helpful with figuring out financial stuff and everything. They were helpful and nice, giving us all the information we needed. I did check the dining area. My mom knows a couple of people who live out there, so they vouched for the food. They have a craft room and a movie room where people watch movies, like a theater room. They have another room on another floor for playing cards and games and stuff like that.

I visited The Rose of Ames. They're a good facility, just not quite what I was looking for. The staff was friendly. The place was big enough for him, but the level of care was not what he's gonna need. The dining room was very roomy, they were able to social distance people stuck there in the pandemic, and so I was very happy about that.

The Rose was nice, but it didn’t have what my mother needed because the caregiver of it was not to the standard that my mother would need after a certain point. It was clean and the staff seemed very nice. I have nothing bad to say about it.
