"Atria Palm Desert was very clean. Everybody was friendly and all the residents were happy. They were visiting and seemed like they were going about their daily life and enjoying everything. So, that was good. It looked like it had very nice facilities, too. The staff was very friendly and very professional. They were greeting residents by name, which made me feel like they cared about the people. The rooms were a little bit smaller, but they had a lot of extra areas, like a library and various places where the residents could just come out and gather. So, there are still lots of gathering places where they can socialize."

"The only problem that I had with the Atria Hacienda as with most of the facilities was there were not that many, I don't think there was any Spanish speaking personnel. Unfortunately, that's one thing that we need because my mom speaks very broken English. I need a place where she can relate to some other people. I am sixty seven years old and if I had my way, I would go there myself. The amenities were excellent, the staff was perfect, and I did not see any problems at all. "

"Mission Hills at Rancho Mirage was a clean and pleasant place. Everyone was helpful. We ended up placing my mom there, but it also helped that it was just 5 minutes away from my brother's house. Everyone had been wonderful, and they went out of their way to make the transition as smooth as possible. I had a couple of meals there and the food was good, smaller portions primarily for seniors but it's good quality food. "

"First of all, Parkwood Apartment at Indio is brand new. In fact, some of the apartments are not quite finished yet. But there are enough apartments ready in our queue. It is also in an area that is very quiet. The management here is good. The staff working there couldn't be better. There's also quite a big and beautiful hall for dining or any events. The sanitation is excellent since it is brand new. Everything is designed for the senior and is well thought out. "

"Del Webb is a 55+ community and I love it. We have our own homes but they have everything for us on campus from restaurants, clubs to gyms. Basically you are independent although we do have a large social network with our community where people volunteer to help those who are not mobile and do their grocery shopping or take them on doctor visits. We have at least 50 to 60 activities going on every single day. If you want to take water aerobics, yoga, dance lessons, softball, if you want to be in a travel club, they have everything, A to Z catalogue. They always say it's Country club living for the older folks. "

"It is very nice and very pleasant in Villa Portofino. Everything is good. What I didn't like is that I have to buy a unit. I didn't want to buy one, I just wanted to rent. They have a restaurant as part of the building. They have a bistro and a store. It was nice, but it's just not for me. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I have no complaints. The facility is very luxurious. The apartments were very nice and very spacious, but it is more than I want. It is very good, but it is just not my taste. "

"I went to Palm Desert Greens Country Club. I like the different apartments and the activities they have. They had nice apartments. They are on slabs, double-wides, and so forth. You're able to travel in the area on golf carts. They had crafts that my wife would be interested in. They had card clubs and putting clubs. They had miniature golf, a gym, and exercise things. The staff was very knowledgeable and very thorough in showing us around. It was going to be a purchase-type deal. It was very well kept."

"It is really nice. I would say it's like a five-star hotel. It's very clean, and the staff is very accommodating. The food is excellent, and the grounds are beautiful. It's just a very nice place. They have a swimming pool, a movie theater, a performance theater, a beauty parlor, and a full-sized dining room that's open 24 hours a day. They also do all kinds of trips. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I have no complaints at all. "
