"I went to Palm Desert Greens Country Club. I like the different apartments and the activities they have. They had nice apartments. They are on slabs, double-wides, and so forth. You're able to travel in the area on golf carts. They had crafts that my wife would be interested in. They had card clubs and putting clubs. They had miniature golf, a gym, and exercise things. The staff was very knowledgeable and very thorough in showing us around. It was going to be a purchase-type deal. It was very well kept."

"It is very nice and very pleasant in Villa Portofino. Everything is good. What I didn't like is that I have to buy a unit. I didn't want to buy one, I just wanted to rent. They have a restaurant as part of the building. They have a bistro and a store. It was nice, but it's just not for me. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I have no complaints. The facility is very luxurious. The apartments were very nice and very spacious, but it is more than I want. It is very good, but it is just not my taste. "

"There are about 5,000 members in Del Webb, so it’s big. We have a very nice custom home, about 4,000 sq. ft., but there’s no dining room. We own our home. We go out anywhere we want. We have a center where we have swimming pools, horseshoe, woodworking shops, a pool hall, an outdoor theater, and a convention center. One of the nice things is that we’re in a growing community. We have a lot of retail options here. A lot of restaurants, hardware stores, a movie theater and a bowling alley. There’s a lot of good shopping close by. We’re an hour from the beach and an hour from the mountains, so very easily, we could go to the beach in the morning and then go skiing in the afternoon. I would highly recommend it. "

"I toured The Palms at La Quinta Gracious Retirement Living. It's been updated nicely, and they have a nice swimming pool. The interior was nice. The staff was friendly, and their cookies were very good."

"First of all, Parkwood Apartment at Indio is brand new. In fact, some of the apartments are not quite finished yet. But there are enough apartments ready in our queue. It is also in an area that is very quiet. The management here is good. The staff working there couldn't be better. There's also quite a big and beautiful hall for dining or any events. The sanitation is excellent since it is brand new. Everything is designed for the senior and is well thought out. "

"My husband and I live in the independent living community of Soboba Springs Park in San Jacinto. They have a pool and all kinds of activities going on. They have things going on all the time, as far as men's outings, women's outings, and going out to eat and walking. They have swimming exercises and pool tables. Every holiday, they have a big thing going on, like Christmas parties, which is really interesting. They really celebrate every holiday. The one we had for New Year's Eve, you bring a snack for 6 people, and that's all you do. They have everybody share the food, and they have live music and dancing, and all that kind of good stuff. The people who keep the park up were really good, too. We rent here, and the rent is also really good."

"Vista Montana Senior Living was a nice place, and I liked it. Everyone and the rooms were real nice. It had pretty much everything that we wanted. They provided three meals a day and snacks in between. They had cards, bingo, and different activities to keep their memory sharp. "

"The people at Valle Hermosa seem nice. So far, I have no complaints. The neighbors seemed very friendly. The condos are two bedrooms and two baths, and it has a dining area and a living area. Some apartments have fireplaces. We cook our food, do our own housekeeping. The city government of Hemet can provide buses if you want to go some place. "

"I will move into The Village Hemet. It's a beautiful facility, and it has several amenities that I can use. I've got friends there already. They have wonderful meals, maids, and transportation services, so it's all in one location. A couple of my friends said you don't even have to leave the building if you don't want to, and they take complete care of you. The staff have been great and helpful in getting the process started and completed. They've been really good. I had lunch a couple of times, and it's like a five-star restaurant. It's very clean. It looks brand new, although it's been there since either '89 or '98, but it's a beautiful facility. It was like a five-star hotel."
