I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband is staying in Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare Center for rehab. The staff is wonderful. I get to the door, and they push me all the way back to my husband's room. He's the last patient in the rehab unit, so it's a long distance away. And they push in a wheelchair down there so I can visit with him. The physical appearance needs some work. The hallway could stand to be painted and have new flooring. The flooring is old and hard to walk on. My husband says every bit of food is okay. They're doing everything they can do.

My father is in Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare Center. He is in memory care. They have stuff to do, but he's not very good at participating. He's been declining since he's been there. I know they have music. The nurses tell me they do chair exercises. My family came for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they try to do the best for the patient. It is clean, but it is getting old. The rooms have Jack-and-Jill bathrooms, where two rooms share a bathroom in the center. Their food is pretty good, but like every old person, it's not as hot as they would like it. I don't think they're overcharging us.

I am disappointed in this facility My mother stayed here Her room mate had covid and so we requested our mom be moved so they moved to the other end of hall and neglected her . Forgot her food and her fluids . My sister lived near so she visited daily . Had to keep reminding them of her being at end of hall. Maybe we should ignore the bill. We still havent gotten her clothes back . No stars deserved .

My dad was in Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare Center and it was very good. It was excellent all the way around. The only thing that would be any different than where he's in now would be on the pay scale. It's more expensive and it just costs more to stay there. The staff was excellent and the facility itself was excellent. They're clean and they had never smelled, it's very, very well kept. The food was excellent, they have activities and bingo which was dad's favorite. Their facilities were excellent, the rehab is just on the other side. It's all one facility and they've got different branches so you can just take them on their wheelchair over there. They've got all the state-of-the-art stuff, it's very good.

I visited this facility

Lakeland Rehab was one of the few places that could take my father who needed Alzheimer's treatment. I didn't like a lot of things about it. There's an odor immediately when you walk in. They also lack having private bedrooms for the patients. With regards to care, I thought that unless you pay very close attention and that their staff knew that you are watching, that they are not watching carefully their patients as they might have. So if they know you're watching, you get good care.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The facility was kept clean and the usual nursing home smell was kept to a minimum. Rooms were clean and neat as well, and I never heard a complaint from my aunt about the cleanliness. The dining room was well-lit and cheery and clean, and the commons area was nicely decorated for the appropriate season or holiday.Staff was firendly to us when we visited, but the only complaint about the facility I ever heard from mom or aunt was about a careless or rude staff member. I spoke to the director about these complaints and she asssured me the employee in question would be talked to about the situation - she was responsive. The food was adequate at best, as it usually is in the less well-to-do nursing homes, but my aunt seemed to be well fed and had no major, consistent complaints about the food. Meds were given consistently and other care - baths, hair, etc. - were taken care of in a professional way.Overall I was pleased with the care at Lakeland and my mother and aunt were as well.
