My dad is currently receiving PT, OT and speech therapy while recovering at the Villas from a stroke. I could not be more impressed with the quality of therapy he is receiving and the progress he is making. The care staff are so patient and kind to him. They go out of their way to make sure he has a good day.

The Villas of Holly Brook Newton is very well-done. It's assisted living and the administrator is the one who gave me the tour. She introduced me to the staff who gave me a very warm reception. The facilities themselves are only 10 years old and looked like they were 2 or 3 years old. It's that well taken care of. They were having a picnic for residents outside with smoked burgers and beans and all that. They had a home theater and an exercise room. They also had an on-staff physical therapist and a nurse available. There was a nurse practitioner too. It's all pretty impressive. I also actually ran into old friends there so the residents were people I knew. They said they have regular exercise programs that they include in their activities. They've got a room dedicated just for activities, which is very impressive. Compared to other facilities, the price for a 1-bedroom was about $500 less than the other facility I checked.

I'm staying at the Villas of Holly Brook Newton. They let you do what you want to do. As far as it being as nice as what they charge us, it's nothing near to that. Their staff is wonderful. It looks good from the outside. The inside is nice, but it definitely has a lot of problems that need to be fixed. They know it needs to be fixed, but they don't seem to get it done, so it keeps getting worse.
