Villas of Holly Brook is a very nice place. Shelbyville is just a little farther away from where my mom grew up, but I'm very impressed with this place. The director is great, the staff seems great, and the facilities are really nice, so it's a possibility. The rooms are nicely appointed. The staff was very competent and very professional. The interior of the building is kept very clean, even in the middle of this pandemic. They have very good protocol in place to try to mitigate COVID, which was impressive. The dining-room area is lovely, and they do fresh home cooking with the food. This is in the middle of Illinois, and most of the people there are farmers who grew up on hamburger, milk gravy, pork chops, and fried chicken, so that's what they serve, and there's a lot of other options there, too.

We lived in the Villas of Holly Brook for a while. It was a little plush. However, they decided they would give us a rent raise of six and we didn't have that kind of money. It was alright, but it was financially too much. We couldn't afford it. The staff members were nice. They were great. The food was good, too. They were good people.
