"I toured Oaks at Stockbridge. It was great. I really liked it. I liked the activities they have planned. I liked the decor of the place. It was very nice. I wish we could have done that for my in-laws, because it would be close to home. They showed us an assisted living apartment. It had a refrigerator and a microwave, and it had a bedroom for them. The staff was very friendly and professional. If I was going to move my in-laws there, they anticipated what I might want to find out and ask about, and they supplied that information. The only thing that was disappointing was that they didn't offer me any food. The place was very clean and very nice. Maybe we could put our parents there so they could be taken care of and so forth."

"My mom has been a resident for a year, and has been well loved and taken care of. Mom has dementia and can hardly remember a lot, but she remembers the staff and the love that they show her on a daily basis. She loves her room that is furnished with her furniture, and tells me at every visit how she loves all of those that care for her. It is never wanted to have to put a loved one in a facility, but to see how she has adapted, and the love that flows through this place, I wouldn't want her anywhere else. A big thank you to Robyn, Erin, Cookie, Chelsea, and all the staff that take such good care of mom, and make her feel so special. Love you all..."

"I went to Heartis Fayetteville. It was an excellent tour. It was very welcoming. The staff was accommodating. The visit to the apartments was good, and I was pleased with the apartments. The upkeep of the whole place was very inviting. They have different activities. They take them on tours. One that caught my eye was that they take them to the casino, and that is something that my dad likes. They give them two meals a day, which is good. I also like the fact that the apartments come with a full kitchen, so that they have the ability to cook some of their own food if they want. I was able to meet the chef, and they talked about some of the meals that they served, but I wasn't able to have anything."

"I really love Allegiance Personal Care Memory Care, but it was just so out of the price point. It one was phenomenal though. It was very organized, very clean, and up to date. The owners were very friendly and very efficient. They're great listeners, and they seemed to care about the residents a whole lot. I think it was $4,000 monthly and then the $2,000 deposit for the upkeep or something. It was only the price with that additional $2,000 when someone already has to come in paying $4,000. I think it was more or less for the maintenance of the home, and I was like it was too much of a stretch. The staff members were very knowledgeable. They had a heart as well as compassion for what they did. I felt they were really going to take care of your parents or loved ones without you worrying or stressing. They gave that level of comfort. I also noticed the cleanliness of the kitchen area. It was very clean. The ambience was ten out of ten. It smelled good; it didn't smell like urine. You didn't know elderly people were living there. It was very immaculate."

"Overall, I was unable to come in for a tour that had a very good conversation with my name, Alek, and I left the conversation feeling very positive for my mom in the future. I'm in the very early beginning stages of research. when I called the front desk, the lady, I think her name was Kimberly, was very nice and got me directed straight to the personnel. I needed to be, too, and it was not delayed... The last time, It was very confusing to speak with, and the information I got from that employee was not clear. I called back in April. So, that tells me good things are changing."

"The tour at Summerset Assisted Living was great. The person who took us around was very good. Everything was nice, neat, and clean. The information that they had given us was great. They explained everything simply, and they were very professional. They did everything thoroughly, clearly, and gave us literature, and I understood everything. The common areas were organized and nice."

"Medlock Gardens was very nice. I met with the business manager there, Deidre. When I arrived, all the staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The facility was very pretty. It was fresh and clean. It didn't have any odors or anything. It was well-kept. The young lady that assisted me on the tour was very patient. She was very resourceful. She had a wealth of information. She described and showed me everything. I didn't have an opportunity to try the food, but they did invite me back at a later date when I had more time if I wanted to. The dining area looked very nice. The residents that I did see were of varying ages, but they looked happy from what I could see. Dinner and a Movie is one of the recreational activities when I did the tour, so I thought that was very nice. It was very intimate and inviting. It had a nice, homey feel."

"The director of Montclair Assisted Living is very professional and positive. It is very nice. The cafeteria is large and semi-formal, but they have a relaxed kitchen area for assisted living because they're attached to a senior living facility. For example, if my dad didn't want to go downstairs to the larger area to eat, then he could just stay up on his floor and eat in a more casual environment. The living spaces were very nice. My father already has a separate bedroom, and so he doesn't want a suite, but there's nothing they can do about that. However, the rooms were nice, and they were good sizes. The thing that I didn't particularly like, is that they do not have kitchenettes. Nevertheless, they have a lot of long-term employees, and they were very visible when I was there. You could tell that they have a lot of employees in the halls. You can tell they're very actively engaged, and you can see a lot of helpers. Their ratio of caregivers to residents is a great number. It's privately owned, which I think is a perk. The board are residents. The other thing is that they also have lots of snacks and treats out for the residents to take as they want."

"The best thing about Holbrook Decatur was it was extremely nice. The worst thing was it was expensive. It was on the upper end of the budget. The only person I met was the person that was meeting us for the tour, and they were late and they were in a hurry. They were perfectly nice, but we had to wait in the waiting room for 15-20 minutes, and then they were in a hurry. The facility was brand new."

"We visited Oaks at Tucker for assisted living. We enjoyed the tour. They prepared lunch for us, and it was very nice. Everything was good. The facilities and the meals were excellent."

"I went to All in One Personal Care. I liked it because it was nice and clean, and the caregiver was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me a lot more information. So, if I had to choose a place, I would put him there. The structure was great, it was clean, no odor. I highly recommend it. It has a real peaceful atmosphere, serenity. It was a small house, but it was only about three rooms where she could hold up to four partitions at a time, but it was nice."

"My sister moved into PruittPlace Buckhead. They were very welcoming from the start. They knew that I was in an urgent situation and needed to move her in quickly. They were very accommodating, extremely nice, and friendly. The only thing I liked least was that the day she moved in, I was hoping they would have someone to be like her mentor and sit with her at dinner and introduce her to people, but they did not do that. So, I stayed to make sure that she sat with people and had dinner, was taken back to her room, and so forth. I wish they had coordinated that to have a kind of buddy system. The staff are all excellent, and everyone is extremely friendly. I did not taste the food, but my sister says that it's pretty good. The facility is super nice, very bright, and welcoming. They are doing some construction, like putting together a library and renovating some of the rooms. So, they do have some construction going on, but it's not bad. It doesn't affect anything. She's in assisted living and gets most of the amenities they offer. They have some activities that they arrange. They have an outside sitting area, which is really lovely. It's a nice garden, and right in the city, so it's not far from where I live. I was very lucky that I didn't have to look at a bunch of places. This one fit her budget, the location where I needed her to be, its cleanliness, and the staff. The director is great. He's a nice man."

"My grandparents were residents there back in 2007 to 2008. My grandfather was only there a short time before his passing but my grandmother was there until her death in July 2008. The staff and the facility are excellent in the care that is provided. The staff grew to be family. They were always compassionate and very professional when it came to dealing with my grandmother's needs. She so enjoyed playing bingo and the different activities that were provided. The staff went far beyond their duties. They were friends to the residents. I applaud them for everything they do and could not have asked for a better place for my grandparents to have lived their final days. "
