About Morning Pointe of Calhoun in Calhoun, Georgia
When families in Calhoun and Northwest Georgia start searching for assisted living or memory care, they are usually not looking for a facility. They are looking for a place where a parent or spouse can get the right level of support, stay close to home, and still feel like themselves. Morning Pointe of Calhoun is located at 660 Jolly Road NW, near Gordon Health and Rehabilitation, Georgia Cumberland Academy, and the Wexford and Saddlebrook neighborhoods — convenient for families throughout Calhoun, Adairsville, Dalton, Rome, and the surrounding Gordon County area. We are a single-story, home-like community with both assisted living and memory care under one roof — no elevators, no stairs, no long institutional hallways. Whether your loved one needs a little help with daily activities or more specialized memory support, the right level of care is always close by, and they can stay in a familiar place with a team that already knows them — for as long as our level of care is the right fit. Residents enjoy personalized care plans and 24-hour access to personalized care services. Licensed nurses are on campus around the clock providing oversight of health, wellness, and medication management. Pharmacist-led medication reviews, on-site therapy services, restaurant-style dining with specially prepared meals by our culinary team. We offer exercise classes, physical activities, live entertainment, and organized group outings. Your social calendar and exercise schedule can be as busy or as laid back as you'd like. For residents in our memory care wing, our team is trained in the Best Friends™ approach — a relationship-centered philosophy that treats every resident as a valued friend, honoring their life story and individuality — and the Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care™ — skill-based dementia training that helps associates understand how the brain changes with dementia so they can respond with confidence, calm, and compassion. Our Meaningful Day™ program is built around each memory care resident's past experiences, interests, and abilities — because the things that made your loved one who they are still matter here. Founded in 1997 and locally led for nearly 30 years, Morning Pointe Senior Living manages and operates more than 40 assisted living and memory care communities across the Southeast — including right here in Calhoun, where our long-tenured team has served area families for nearly 30 years.

Morning Pointe of Calhoun had a memory care. The lady we met seemed to have very good knowledge of how to handle memory care and seemed very good to patients. They tried to have some activities. What I didn't like about it was that they cannot put full rails on the beds. They said it was against state law. Well, my mother, when she woke up, would try to get out of bed immediately and would probably fall and break her hip. They told me they could put a fall mat there, but I don't think that would have helped my mother. I don't like the fall risk. The place was clean, but I don't like the shared rooms. If my mother had gone in and had to share a room, she didn't have near enough space. However, I liked the private rooms.

Morning Pointe was a nice place that seemed to have a pretty good activity program and nice dining room. The only thing that I saw going on the day I was there was bingo. The staff was good, friendly, and very informative, and when I asked questions, they responded. They seemed to be very knowledgeable.

I do not have anyone living at Morning Pointe but have been there for Caregiver Workshops and a Support Group meetings. I took my mother-in-law to these meetings; she is the main caregiver for her 97 year old mother and her 72 year old husband, both who have dementia-the workshop was just what my mother-in-law needed and was beneficial to me as well. The facility is very nicely decorated ('homey') and clean. The staff is always very friendly, helpful and empathetic-whether you are a 'paying customer' or not. It is evident that they truly care!
