My Mom has to go to a nursing facility for short term therapy after knee surgery. Please visit the facilities unannounced and request a tour for whatever facility you choose. After reading internet reviews I would not have chosen SGHS because of their low ratings and rumored reputation, but after visiting the facility I changed my mind. The place seemed very clean and organized. Kind of like SGHS old school. The staff I met was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about the facility. I saw a few patients and they seemed to be well cared for. I visited another facility in town and it was very nasty. I'm no clean freak and not perfect but I would not stay at the other facility and they had a very good rating. All I can say is visit different places unannounced and request a tour. See for yourself!. What I saw in person and what I read on the internet was two completely different things. SGHS has really cleaned this place up and turned it around from what I saw with my own eyes!
