"My husband was at the nursing facility of Altamaha Healthcare Center in Jesup, and there's nothing I like about it. The place was dirty, and my husband stank. He got sick, and they wouldn't send him to the emergency room. Finally, my daughter, who is a nurse, went there and got them to send him to the emergency room. It turned out he had a UTI and sepsis. His blood pressure was so low that they had to give him medication to raise it. It was life-threatening, and it took days to get him to the emergency room. The doctor even said he is not sending my husband back to that place. I have not tasted the food, but my husband said it was horrible. One time, he asked for a glass of ice water before I came to see him. I had to ask for it myself when I arrived, and it was still 30 minutes after I asked for them to get it when it came. The structure was terrible, and the layout of the room was horrible. On holidays, I also noticed that the employees brought their kids to work. If you love your loved ones, you will not put them there."

"My mother was at Coastal Manor for a couple of months. The place was good. They provided standard care for the residents. The staff were friendly. The place was clean. I had no complaints. "

It works out really well. They can improve on having more activities. They have some activities, but not many. However, so far, the staff has been very good. He is very pleased with the food. "

"My first impression of Pierce County Nursing Home was that the staff was very friendly. All of the nice ladies and gentlemen working behind the sign in desks were smiling and joyful. However, once I got a peek of the nurses, my view was slightly shifted. While there were a lot of cheerful RN's and even some chipper LPN's, it seemed as if most of the CNA's were miserable. I understand that their job is not the best, but the residents have to see the CNA's quite often, and it would not hurt for them to be more cheerful. The next thing I noticed about PCNH is that the food their looked delicious. Actually, when I toured the facility we were able to sit down and eat lunch with the residents, and the food tasted quite delicious as well. I do believe that the rooms of the residents looked a slightly large, but they definitely could use an update of color and decor. "
