Our church is connected with Harborview Pierce, so I've been there multiple times as a visitor. They're clean as they could be, and the staff is good. They're helpful, friendly, and caring. For activities, I know that they do puzzles. Their dining area was clean, and there was various staff sitting with patients that needed assistance eating.

My first impression of Pierce County Nursing Home was that the staff was very friendly. All of the nice ladies and gentlemen working behind the sign in desks were smiling and joyful. However, once I got a peek of the nurses, my view was slightly shifted. While there were a lot of cheerful RN's and even some chipper LPN's, it seemed as if most of the CNA's were miserable. I understand that their job is not the best, but the residents have to see the CNA's quite often, and it would not hurt for them to be more cheerful. The next thing I noticed about PCNH is that the food their looked delicious. Actually, when I toured the facility we were able to sit down and eat lunch with the residents, and the food tasted quite delicious as well. I do believe that the rooms of the residents looked a slightly large, but they definitely could use an update of color and decor.
