The Opal at Bluewater Bay was convenient for me because I can be there in about five or ten minutes from where I live. The rooms were nice. Everything was nice. I had no problem with it. They had all the services you needed. They had physicians on call. They have a beautiful dining area. The people all seemed to be nice. There's a sitting area and all kinds of recreation there. There are all kinds of things you can do. The staff was very nice, very polite, very kind, very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. Everybody was eating. I didn't hear anybody yelling about the food not being good.

The Opal at Bluewater Bay is my number one preference because it's close to my son. I liked it. I think you would get a lot of care there. The only problem is that it's small, but they'd take my dog, and it's been redone, and it was very, very nice. I'm told by people who have been there that the food is very, very good. You get a college-sized refrigerator and a microwave, and those are the only amenities that you get. The rooms were very small.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I couldn’t be happier with the care my husband receives at the Opal. Every resident is monitored for health and welfare. Socialization is a big part of daily care. Apartments meet the specific needs of the residents. Each apartment is cleaned regularly by the housekeeping staff. The dining room is served by two excellent chefs. Menus are varied and well presented. The physical, occupational and speech therapist are excellent. The change in my husband since working with them is amazing. I could go on and on but giving this facility 5 start best makes my point.

The Opal at Bluewater Bay was amazing. I knew several residents there and they knew my father from previous assisted living places. That is a super high contender. It was kind of like meant to be. What I like most about it is it's beautiful. The rooms are made for people who have wheelchairs. It had wide doors. The room was spacious. It wasn't even an efficiency. It was just a one-bedroom. My dad loves to sit outside and the outside area is a beautiful place to sit and relax. All the staff is friendly. They have nursing on staff all the time, and that's a rarity. A lot of staff members that were there, were there for a lot of years. The turnover rate was not that high and I appreciated that. It had a patio, a covered area, and a library. My dad's been in quite a few facilities. Although he hasn't lived in Opal, I would rate that one the best out of all.

It was very clean and neat. It's a nice small community. I liked the location. It's the closest to where my sister and I live. Although I believe the rooms are a little bit small, my sister believes they're adequate for my father, and they very well may be. The rooms were clean. We saw a suite and something else. It was excellent. It had a bedroom, a small living room, and a kitchenette area, and the showers were amazing.

We had a wonderful experience when we toured this facility! Barbara and Kelcie were very welcoming, and those residents we encountered seemed to be enjoying the activity planned for them (the activity director was leading them in a memory game). The facility itself is very nice, and you can tell they're committed to keeping everything up. Met one of the caregivers, and was impressed by her love for the residents and skill with which she cared for them. Would highly recommend this location!

When you enter the front door you are greeted by a smiling team member and asked how can I help you . The ED was introduced and showed the rooms available . The room were freshly painted with new flooring . As we walked down the hall ALL staff spoke (which is unusual ) . Crosspoint church was having service and singing as we passed by . The community was decorated for fall and made you feel at home . The community is has a large outside countyard which a couple of residents were watering the flowers . Overall I would definitely place my mother in this community

I toured here. It was OK. The rooms were standard for assisted living places. The staff was very friendly, answered all the questions, and gave me a packet of information. The facility looked good and clean.

We visited here and saw a studio and a one-bedroom, which were average sized. They had plenty of activities. The dining area was average. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a clean and older property but above standard.
