Caring Village of Davie was like a small house that was converted. It was like a locked-door situation where there was just a nurse and an aide. It didn't seem to fit our needs. They didn't seem to have more than just one level of care. They just had one, which was pretty significant. They weren't ready for the tour. The place was very basic like a house. They didn't have a lot of amenities or anything. It seemed like a very difficult facility to be able to improve upon because they had shared bathrooms and shared bedrooms and they're kind of small.

The person who gave us the tour at Caring Village of Davie was very nice and very informative, but the community is very small and very cramped. It is not someplace I would go, but somebody else may like it. The person that toured us around was the supervisor and she did almost everything there.

I toured the Caring Village of Davie. They opened the door for me, and I was able to walk around. The place wasn't all that nice and clean, I guess they weren't expecting me, like they said. I was able to speak with the coordinator. I didn't like anything about it. When I walked in there, a lady was shouting to the other seniors. As you walked in the door, the stench of the poop smell met you. It didn't smell clean. They were trying to put people to bed at 6:00. The kitchen area that you could look through and see was still very dirty. They showed me the 2 beds in a room and the 3 beds in a room. You could bring your own TV. They had a dresser in between the drawers and a closet. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. She kept apologizing because they weren't prepared. She said meals were cooked daily and she said they served regular food.

Caring Village of Davie wasn't up to par. It was small and cramped. The two girls that I met there were very nice, but the place was too old. There wasn't much to show. We walked down about 20 yards from one end to the other (maybe less than that probably), and there wasn't much to see. The rooms were very small. The staff who toured me around was very nice, and she showed me around.

Caring Village of Davie was like a private house, but it was very depressing. The person who was supposed to take me on the tour never showed up. The rooms were very messy. I wouldn't put my dog there. I toured the memory care. There's nothing in that place that I liked. If the staff couldn't even meet me for the appointment to give me the tour, it tells you they don't care. She didn't do a follow-up call. She didn't have any interest at all.

Caring Village of Davie was in a nice location, but we felt like it was messy. We didn't like it at all. They had old furniture. We only met the one person who gave us the tour and she was OK. It was a really quick tour because it was a small house.

Caring Village of Davie was very nice, except most of their residents were Alzheimer's patients. I'm looking for something where my father can have more interaction with people. It's very nice and very clean. If my dad has Alzheimer's or something, that would be a place I would consider. The activity area was kind of small. The assisted living appears to be more of a memory care living, instead of assisted living from my perspective. I know they do activities. For the majority of their people, they were things that the dementia patients can do and not a person that's more active and has all their faculties. The dining room and the activity room were basically in the same area. They have an area outside that's sheltered and covered from the sun. The rooms were clean and looked very safe. Overall, it was great. It's just not what I'm looking for in an ALF. I didn't experience any food, but the kitchen was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
