We looked at Connecticut Baptist Homes. We're on the waiting list for my mom. It was very clean. The residents looked as if they were well cared for. It was staffed well. It was easy to get off the highway to visit. The activities seemed like they were interesting for the patients. The person who took us around was very informative and caring. They have patios to sit outside. They have different grades of care that they offer. They have a little bit of extensive care, and then they have care when you don't need as much, but you still need to be there for safety reasons. You have to be a little bit more independent to go to one of the floors. Each floor had their own kitchen where you could make things for yourself, and there was like a kitchen for snacks and stuff, so they have something where you can get something to eat when it's not mealtime.

Baptist Home is smaller with small rooms that didn’t appeal to me at all. We didn’t think that was the place for her. There were two people in a room, so privacy is not there. They had exercise classes and a hairdresser.

We're all set for the Connecticut Baptist Home. The staff seemed to be doing a very good job.
