My mom is now at West Lake Lodge. She has been there for probably four weeks now. They've been very helpful and very responsive when we have concerns or questions. Her social worker has been very responsive in answering questions for us, in acknowledging kind of her mental state right now, and what might have to take place. The room is very small. It is an older building. My mom has a shared room, so it's very small. Not that she needs a whole lot, but she would prefer more room, and she would prefer to kind of be by herself. She seems to enjoy the food. As for the facility itself, some walls should probably be repainted. It has a little bit of a dingey look to it inside, but it seems to be clean. They're doing the best that they can with the older building. They've done a horse therapy day, which my mom participated in. I took her to bingo the other day, and she enjoyed that. They had a craft activity over the Fourth of July that she enjoyed. So those are the things that she's done.

Thus place is horrible! The staff treat patients worse than dogs! And then lie and make excuses when you complain! I found my loved one naked with no clothes or blankets or access to water on one occasion and laying in dried vomit on another. I have complained to adult protective services and health department and will be moving him immediately! Run away as fast as you can!

It’s never an easy decision to have to put a loved one with dementia in a long-term care facility. The staff at Centennial has been caring and supportive during this transition for our family as we had to place my dad. The nursing staff and CNAs are always helpful and I see them as part of our team. Sometimes I wish there were more of them. My dad was assigned a nurse liason who has been incredibly helpful with helping my dad through some rough days. I appreciate Dr. Ogden, Dr. Troyer and the medical staff who follow my dad. They support decisions that we make for the comfort of my dad. I know my dad has attended the worship services, the music events and a few of the other activities that are held at the facility. He is starting to recognize familiar faces in the area where he lives. He enjoys his spot in the dining room. I’d say he’s starting to feel at “home”. I would like to thank each and every employee at Centennial.

The staff work very hard to keep you and your loved one happy. Lots of care conferences. Only small issue is the building is old but well maintained. The rooms are nice and cozy. Residents can go on outings, play bingo, listen to music. They have a bus that takes residents to doctors appointments.

My mother lived in this facility since 2004 and passed away last week. This facility is hands down the best place that I have ever been to as far as caring for their residents. They make the residents feel like family and treat them with such dignity. Myself and other members of my family have felt this as well. The staff is kind and they go through a lot with folks. My mother had a stroke and was unable to walk or use her left side. She needed total care and this was the reason that she was there. They took care of her and never made her feel like she was a bother. The facility was clean and the activities were great. There were a lot of activities that were geared to the whole family and we attended as much as we could. Towards the end of mother's life, we worked together to make sure that mother was taken care of and comfortable in her final days. I will miss going there beccause the staff became like family to us as well. I realize that a nursing home could seem daunting, but given the fact of what happened to mother, this truly was the place for her to be. I recommend Centennial Nursing Home 100% to anyone that is need of a home for their loved ones and I would actually speak to anyone that is on the fence. Thank you Centennial for taking care of and loving our lovely mother!!!
