I am satisfied with Dad's rehab at Julia Temple Healthcare Center. Although they still aren't able to get him to walk and he's still in a wheelchair, he wasn't able to use his left side when he left the hospital, but now he's using his left side pretty well and he can feed himself and talk a little bit better now. He seems to be happy there. The food is excellent. We've been there for several meals and Dad always finishes all his meals. He shares a room. He has a nightstand, a bed, a closet, a wash basin in that room, and a window. So, it's just adequate. The facility seems to be clean and they seem to be well staffed and very friendly. He's had three falls because he can't remember that he can't walk. So, he tries to get up and walk and they call me immediately each time he has a fall. He had no injuries from them, but it's a concern. These facilities are all very expensive, but we had to pick this one because it is the only one that we found that was Medicaid pending and my dad just didn't have money to go into any of the others. The others were nicer but some of them were $16,000 a month, and we couldn't afford that.

Depressing, dark place. Seemed clean, but the cramped, dark and old furnishings make it hard to tell. Not enough furniture for the rehab residents. Not enough supervision. Food was disgusting. Did not adjust menu as per food allergies. No choice on part of resident. Residents not given hygiene, washed up. In room toilet room shared by 4 residents. Some of the staff seemed very nice. Activities very mysterious, not adequately posted or explained. There is an outside courtyard. Located on a residential street. Go anywhere else.

The care in this place is horrible, I had to demand a ambulance, several times before I finaly got someone to call one. My husband left there with horrible bed sores, became so painful he couldn't turn over. Food was not edible. Ended with him dying 5 days later. Went there regain strength in his legs. I could go on and on but that's enough.

Do not send your loved ones here! My dad was referred here for rehabilitation (he was transferred by ambulance directly from the hospital), and he called begging us to get him out of there. The bed in the room was an air mattress with a foam topper on it, the rooms were dismal and outdated, and the nurse could not find him a walker (he was there for a broken femur).

I had a very bad time at this facility. Staff especially at night spent more time at the desk with their computers than with us. They put me in a shower chair after another got out and did not wipe it down. When they put me in this chair they put me in the shower stall and had hardly any hot water. I was freezing but they continued anyways When asked the said the hot water hasn't been working for awhile. There is more I could mention but I feel this is sufficient. Don't these facilities have state inspections?

The rooms are like most healthcare facilities but are very clean. Staff is wonderful. Everyone is helpful, considerate, positive and seems to care. I don't think you could find a better place for your love one. I visit my mom several times a week and it is always positive. When something need attention it is taken care of immediately. If you need any kind of help everyone and anyone will assist you without question. They serve large and balanced meals. They work with each person according to their abilities. They allow each resident to have their own personality and work with them to accomplish what needs to be done. They take difficult people unlike most facilities that only want the easy ones. I have told my family if I need long or short term care I want to go to Julia Temple. I truly cannot find fault with the place or people working there.

It can be so difficult when a loved one needs long-term care because of dementia. It's an emotional experience that can have us family members on the defensive. But the staff here are so kind and really care about the people you love. Yes, the furniture is a little beat up. That's because he has dementia and needs to move furniture around, or he's having accidents and spilling on it and sometimes just destroying it. Yes, maybe I walked in and he hadn't been changed. But that's because the CNA was helping someone else and he was next. The staff is so amazing and he was so cared for. I am so glad we chose this place.

What Are The Rooms Like? Out Dated Beds, Beat-Up Wood Furniture, No Clocks or Barely Any Pictures On The Wall. Needs Cleaning. Very Dismal Atmosphere, A Time Warp From The 80's. How Are The Interactions With Staff? Some Staff People Where Nice, Head Nurse's Rude, Having Attitude, No Patience. More Listening, And Less Talking Or Anticipating What The Client Is Going To Say. Staff Members Gossiping Not Paying Attention To The Clients While Talking At The Desk To Each Other. Case Manager Not Giving Complete Information, And Questionable Advice. If You Need To Keep Asking For Help, And If You Have To Fend For Your Own, This Is Not The Place. What Activities Do Residents Enjoy? My Mother Was There For Rehab Where Was It? Who Was Doing It? This Is A Great Place If You Have One Foot In The Grave, Or Dementia. Take The Time To Look At Many Options Remember, This Is Your loved one.

When my family and I took a walk through for our grandmother for her rehabilitation well let's say it was the worst place I have ever seen really the spell alone the rooms are small and filthy it is pretty much the lowest care facility we've ever seen their web site is all lies nothing was good about it when my Grammy went in she turned to us and told us she was scared of being in there so we took her home right away we will never recommend this junky place for anyone not even our worst enemies

My mother is a resident here. She has progressed from the Lavendar wing to advanced. care. My father knows all the care providers and they provide him with support. When my mother became ill I was able to get information even late in the evening. It is clear and as cheerful as it can be. The staff seem to care about the patients. Is it perfect? No place is. I think with this kind of care you need to be vigilant. Make sure they are careful. Make sure they know someone is watching. People who are payed minimum wage and minimally supervised or trained are the front line caregivers to your family because noone care afford more than that. I appreciate the care my mother has received.

My grandmother who is 84 years old and suffering from the early stages of dementia is currently a resident at Julia Temple Center in Denver. She has been there for about 9 months and so far I have been very satisfied with the care she has received. The facility is clean, with windows and natural light in the patient rooms. There is also a sun room and an outdoor terrace for visitors and residents to enjoy during nice weather. The staff seems very attentive, every time I have visited I have seen them engaged in some type of stimulating activity with the residents. My grandmother has not had any complaints. She enjoys the day to day activities and is clean and well taken care of. She was underweight before going into the center and has even gained ten pounds since she's moved in. The facility has excellent security, with lots of staff and code locking doors to ensure the safety of the patients which was important to my family because my grandmother sometimes gets confused and tries to walk back to her old home.Family and friends are encouraged to visit at any time. The building is older but they have been doing some extensive renovation in the past few months. All in all I find it is a good, trustworthy facility.
