I moved into Affinity at Copperleaf. It's brand new, so it's very nice. The room is nice and the appliances are quite nice compared to ones that I looked at at other facilities. The community director is very nice, and responsive to any questions I have. There is an indoor swimming pool that's heated partially, and it's more for exercise, and not really for swimming. There's a hot tub, too. I know they have water aerobics. We have a pub, and they have a happy hour every Thursday. There's a coffee bar where you can get free coffee and make yourself coffee every day with other kinds of coffee, like lattes. There's a billiards room, poker tables for those people who play that, and I think they have an organized poker table. They also have a crafts room for people who like to work on their own crafts. They just now set up a room for woodworking if you like to do stuff like that. If you want to rent a garage, you can have a garage. There's something like a dog park or a dog wash facility. There are also little plots of squared off soil where you can grow vegetables and flowers. You have to reserve it, but there's quite a few of those. There's no food here. It's basically an apartment, but you have to be 55 or older. One complaint that I have is with a resident who makes a lot of noise. It's hard for the management to respond because the person says he's not doing noise and I say they are, but we worked out a compromise. Everything else would be five stars. For the staff, there's one person I think who is not very friendly, but the rest of them are. It is very expensive. I thought I'd give it a try for a year because it's kind of on the edge of town. It's far from everything. They include all the utilities. So, the rent that you pay, you don't have to pay anything else. They include basic cable and low speed internet. So that's kind of nice. I guess I'd say it's OK value, but not great.

One of the things I liked the most about Affinity at Copperleaf is that everybody's very friendly and the staff are very responsive to any needs that we might have. It's brand new, so the apartment we will live in has never been lived in. They have a nice swimming pool and Jacuzzi area. The halls are wide, and all of the doors are wide enough for wheelchair accommodation. They have a lot of different areas for meeting people. It's very inviting. They have a non-alcoholic pub where people can meet. They have a nice grill with an outdoor kitchen that you can bring family and friends to for a visit and have a nice cookout. They have several rooms that you can rent for any family coming in from out of town. It's like an apartment, except it's just two rooms. It's like a bedroom, a bathroom, and a full kitchen (if they want to cook), which is rented at a very reasonable rate. They also have a library and a theater.

Affinity at Copperleaf is very new, but their closest public transportation is about a mile and a half or two miles. They would have probably been my first choice. The staff was great and very caring. Everything is top-notch. It is an outstanding facility. The transportation system is the only thing they lack for people who need to get around. Everything was well laid out and designed for the residents' convenience.

I toured Affinity at Copperleaf. They've only been out about a year, and it's a great location. As far as I'm concerned for my getting around, it might be the best one. It's great. I like everything about it like the personnel and the facilities. It's just a great atmosphere. It has the feeling that they're concerned about your well-being. They have a movie theater. They have a nice swimming pool, and they have days where they do certain things. The upkeep is outstanding. It is highly professional. Their employees are pleasant. The staff themselves are A-plus. If they ever figure out that transportation issue, they will get my vote. They have a great dining area. The chefs who prepare the food are cordial. It's just the atmosphere where you feel relaxed. You just feel good about the whole experience.

Affinity at Copperleaf was excellent. The individual that showed us the facility was very informative, very knowledgeable, very cordial, polite, gave us all the information we requested, and answered all our questions. She provided some information for us to take with us about the different floor plans and pricing. They have quite a few activities. They have a crafts room, a card-playing room, a billiard room, an exercise room, and an indoor pool. Our first reaction was that the apartments were small. But with other apartments, I would say that the rooms are adequate as far as the size.

Property is fairly new and very clean. Hallways are very long. Elevator at each end. Laurie was pleasant and kind. It is slightly isolated, which appeals to me. I wish it was more affordable, though it does include utilities.I’m still hoping to find a more affordable place.

We toured the Affinity at Copperleaf, but they didn't have transportation. They did have a patio area, where they had heaters for the cooler days and a fan for the hotter days. They make it comfy for the residents, but we weren't overly impressed. They had no transportation. They supposedly just opened in April of 2021. Some of the units that we were in had the electric box on the wall, which isn't very attractive. It's also hard to find a place to walk around there. The gal even told me I had to go back behind the building and go down this other path. There are some trails there, but Quincy's a busy street; it's right there. The staff was good and knowledgeable. The room has space for a bedroom, living room, and kitchen combination. They have a game room, where they can play cards or just meet up with somebody or whatever.

I toured Affinity at Copperleaf, and it was beautiful. It was a nice community, it's just that my daughter is going to stay with me, and she's not 40. The policy is if you have any children, they have to be at least the age of 40, and she's a full-time student. The security, most of all, was really good, and it was so clean.

The gentleman at Affinity at Copperleaf was wonderful. It's the same company as the other place I visited, but I didn't get that homey feel. The apartment seemed a little bit smaller. I know the square footage was pretty much the same, but I didn't get the same feel as I did with the other place for whatever reason. It just seemed more closed in. I guess depending on what you would spend and the view would be the determining factor as to an overall rating. The one that I looked at that I could afford barely seemed closed in. The gentleman was great. I really liked him, and he made me feel welcome. The building was fairly new, and it's comparable to the other place. I just got a warmer feel at the other place. It is more expensive. I absolutely could not afford Copperleaf. There were activities, a library, group settings, and a pub. It's pretty much closed down because of Covid. The balconies were not as big and seemed real tight. It didn't have an open feeling. It was a great place though. I just liked the other place overall, but they're very comparable. I felt it was home. It's just in a different part of the city that I'm not familiar with. When you walk in, it's very beautiful, very nice, and open. I was impressed with the place.
