My 94-year-old Mother is currently a resident at Siskiyou Springs Senior Living. If you are looking for senior residential care, please consider the following: A few days ago the Executive Director, was spoon-feeding lunch to a resident. This act of kindness comes directly from the heart. I doubt this is in her job description! This illustrates a strong manager leading by example. She could have easily delegated this task to her staff. What does this level of compassionate care demonstrate to her team? How many other Executive Directors perform the most basic of services directly to their clients? Another asset her son is the head of maintenance. They say the nut does not fall far from the tree. He seemingly got his heart from his Mother and his “can-do” attitude from the military. I highly recommend Siskiyou Springs Senior Living and trust they will respect, love, and protect my Mother in this twilight of her life. Raymond Moreno, DBA

Room are small & expensive. The residents are bored & there’s no longer transportation. Poor care from unfriendly staff. Elevators don’t work. Terrible food & high prices for rent.

We visited Siskiyou Springs several times. It was our best choice, and I very highly recommend them. It is big. There are things to do, and it is very well put together. They're friendly. They answered all our questions. The staff was great. She was tremendous. She came out to the house because my husband couldn't go there yet. He was wheelchair bound, and he couldn't even get in the car. So he was unable to visit, but we were very impressed with it and thought he would like it. I was going to move in there with him. Everything was wonderful. They were very wonderful. The place was very clean and very open. Even the people there were, 'Well, when are you going to move in? You can play bingo with us.' They were very sweet, and they looked like they like living there.

The maintenance manager here is dangerous. He has threatened, intimidated and harassed our friends and family multiple times. He seems more suited to being a prison guard or in a corrections facility rather than working around the elderly and disabled. Siskiyou Springs, if you care about the safety of your residents and their families, please investigate how someone with such a demeanor could possibly work here. Something is seriously wrong and it seems to be escalating. I would say he is a dangerous person. I'm honestly afraid to share my identity for fear of physical harm and retaliation for me or my resident loved one. When we complained to staff, they said there was nothing they could do because the maintenance manager is a relative of someone in management and therefore above disciplinary action.

My visit was very good. Part of my family lives up in Yreka; that's why I looked up there. The rooms weren't as large as I have here. The staff seemed to be as good as they are here. The sanitation was excellent. I had a meal there. It was very good, and their dining room was also excellent. The residents seemed happy. The thing that I really liked about it was that its setting was near the trees, which was very lovely.
