I went to Columns Care Home yesterday and toured it. It's nice, and it's a nice set-up. They only have six patients, and they seem to have all of the right things they need to take good care of them. It looks like a nice, clean place. It looks like a good facility. I met four staff members altogether, and they all seemed very nice and very caring like they would take care of my brother very well if he goes there.

Columns Care Home is a house over in Tustin. Briefly, it looks like a house in terms of the layout of the building but I thought that the staff was friendly. The building itself was okay and it seems like there are only 3 residents there but they seemed happy and comfortable. It's only a small place and they have shared 2-bed rooms. Since it's a house and you couldn't be too far away from other people so it's not like you could get lost or anything. They had a backyard area to walk around which was nice and comfortable for them. They weren't all with dementia; one had a stroke, and the other one I don't know. But they seemed nice and I liked the place. The price seemed reasonable and I liked Charlie who runs the place. Meals are included as well as activities though I didn't see any.

My parents both live at Columns Care Home. They are 95 years old and I'm very comfortable with their care. I happen to be very cautious in giving recommendations about care because I'm a registered nurse, and very picky about how my parents are cared for. This RCFE takes times to provide customized care, even down to my parents particular food likes and dislikes. The current owner, Charlie, has been told to shop tirelessly (4 supermarkets!) until he finally found my dad's sugar free chocolate ice-cream. The caregivers are patient, loving and gentle and they work very well with the hospice program that my mother is on. I can sleep fitfully at night because the owner and staff at Columns Care Home treat my folks like they are their folks. What more could a daughter ask for? Thank you Jovie, Maria, Isa, and of course, Charlie. Readers, I provided this info at no one's request.

This is a lovely, small facility that takes exceptional care of the people that live there. My Grandmother and Grandfather lived in this facility for the past three years. My Grandfather passed away there and they were so considerate and caring when he passed. The staff is lovely. The facility itself is comfortable and feels like home. My Grandmother is a very demanding woman and she is happy there. There are two-three staff people working at all times with only 4-5 residents at any given time. The food is excellent and they make every attempt to make my Grandmothers favorite foods. Most of the people that live there just want to stay put and watch TV and play board games. They do some exercise classes here and there and also always have nice old time music playing. It almost feels like distant family taking care of my Grandmother. I check in every day to see how my Grandmother is doing and the staff always gives me a very thorough update on what her day was like. Right now my Grandmother has her own room. They have both private and shared rooms. We set up her room just like the bedroom she had when she was living independently and it makes her feel really safe.

Columns Care Home is a 6 bed RCFE licensed by the State of CA. It is a lovely residential home with 4 bedrooms. My mother is in a private room with french doors. Her room has laminate floors, a large closet and an in-room sink. She has her own TV. Caregivers help her bathe and dress. They cater to her every need. Her meals are quality and varied. She also has a mid afternoon snack. Each meal has cranberry juice served for their bladder health. Her medications are monitored and administered daily. The outside of the home has a lovely back yard with fruit trees. Family is always welcome to visit their loved one. Varied stages of health are accepted. Special days are observed, birthdays, religious days and cultural days. Activities are one according to the individual's wants. All staff and owners are available 24hrs. It is "home" not an institution. It is worth every penny to know that your loved one is being cared for and lives in a safe environment.

This is located in a very nice residential area. The grounds are nice with fruit trees and roses.Interior of the house is a home setting very comfortable .Large floor plan with large living area. The staff is very caring and hard working.Residents are well taken care off and are treated with love and respect. The food served is very good nutritional great tasting.care given to residents is for all levels of people's needs. The facilities gives attention to residents with daily activities.I highly recommend them for any family member or if looking for you'r self.I have seen many senior care homes this home was so clean and has a positive feel.Even if I was looking for myself or the time comes when I need car.I hope I can be in a senior facility like this.
