I am a friend or relative of resident

The only thing that was great was the small homey feel. At one point, corndog and fries for dinner. Tended to eat out since the meals were so bad. Items were "lost" a lot. Even large items. Cost of room was low, but think there is a reason for that. Place is old and not much done in improvements. Medications lost or not given routinely. If you are local and can check in daily on your loved one, it might work fine for you.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother is in Hanover Guest Home. The staff is very caring and very nice, and the owner is also very nice. The facility is old, but the staff makes up for it. There are not many programs there, so there's not a lot going on for the residents. Mostly, the family members provide activities. It's a smaller facility, and we picked it as a stepping stone until my mother's property is sold. Because it's a small place, there are so many friends you can make, you can't get lost, nobody can ignore you, and your needs will be met. She really likes the staff, and it's very clean.
