My wife is in the memory care facility of Belmont Village San Ramon. I like that in memory care, you have to be buzzed in and out. You can't just walk in there like assisted living. My wife broke her femur, so she has been confined to a wheelchair and is just now starting to get some strength back. She can get up, but she hasn't really started walking yet, so I like that they have extra care to help her with taking a shower, going to the bathroom, getting in and out of bed, and things like that. Every day, they also have some sort of activity in the morning and afternoon. The food is really good, too. Much better than the nursing home she was in after the operation. I've seen some of it, and it's very good. They go from salmon, cod, to tri-tip steak or chop because they cut it up. The place is very clean. I can take my wife out of memory care and bring her down to the bistro they have down there. We could have some coffee or get sandwiches or something like that. Every Thursday, they have music that they can go to. It's a little different every time. It's not the same person or group. Even in memory care, sometimes they have music just for them. The other activities are for the whole facility, and it's in a bigger room, but the memory care people can go down and listen to it as well.
