Sunol Creek Memory Care specializes in memory care, so their staff is trained to deal with people who have memory issues such as dementia or confusion. They know how to treat my friend. The staff talks to him and is nice to him. He has a private room, and we had to bring the furniture. He has a little TV that his family bought for him, as well as a bed, a small sofa, a chair, and a reading lamp. They have common areas where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They encourage residents to come to the common eating area, but sometimes the residents prefer to have their meals served in their rooms. They have an area for arts and crafts activities, and in their reception area, they offer good chocolate chip cookies.

Since our opening in 2014, our community has established itself as the East Bay's premier place for Memory Care, proudly offering dedicated support for families in Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, and Fremont. Sunol Creek is conveniently located one mile from downtown Pleasanton and is easily accessible from I-680 for residents from the Castro Valley, San Ramon, and Danville, CA areas.
Sunol Creek was purposefully built for Memory Care. Our warm, inviting, homelike environment features two care neighborhoods of 20 residents, each having its own internal courtyard, circular indoor walking path, ample natural lighting, an activity room, integrated nurse call/delayed egress door systems and three different floor plan options to accommodate different needs and budgets.

I visited Sunol Creek Memory Care. The staff was interacting with the residents, and it looked like everybody was involved in something together. It was very positive to see that. Daniel was wonderful. He's very detail oriented. I was looking for respite care at the time, and he let me see the room that they would stay in. It was very clean. He was very pleasant and eager to help. He called me a couple of times, and he's been great. They go on tours to places on a little bus. They get to have barbecues. They are involved in fixing the food a little bit. They try to keep them oriented and their brains working. They do puzzles and games and everything. It's great. It wasn't depressing.
