"Westmont Milpitas is extremely clean. It has an indoor pool. The food is good. There's a lot of activities. Mom's apartment is great. She has a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, a walk-in shower, a walk-in closet, a good-sized room, and an eating bar. The staff is really good. I like them. The only problem we're running into is her apartment number isn't listed with the post office, which is weird, but they're working on that. They have a book club, a movie theater, field trips where they go shopping, and bingo, so they have a lot of stuff. Internet and cable are included, too."

"I toured Ivy Park at Pleasanton. Nicole, the person that I saw, was extremely helpful. It's a beautiful facility. Everything's just wonderful. I felt very special going there and being treated very respectfully and everything. So, I would say that whoever can afford to go to Ivy Park at Pleasanton should check that place out. They showed me everything. They showed me the studios. They showed me the joint units that took me to the memory care unit. They took me every which way. They have wonderful dining rooms, first notch. The people that were in there decorated their tables. They've got a lot of amenities. Every Thursday night they have music that they play, and people can go. They just have everything that you could want."

"I toured Bellara Senior Living. It was nice, very fancy. An experience that you want for anyone senior and transitioning into their later years. They have on-call nurses, and they have everything that you need there, you don't have to go out and get it, very much assisted. Everything is there all at once. You don't have to go anywhere. The staff was nice. They were very welcoming. They just wanted to get to know me and my family and make sure that if we were choosing that place, it would be the right place for us. It's a very new building. They had a bar. They had a bunch of seating areas. They had fancy bathrooms. They had a workout area. They had a whole courtyard where you could sit and talk and grill food. They had a beautiful kitchen that was restaurant-style."

"The Room was just right for a single person. It was Easter Sunday and my sister had an amazing brunch with Champagne. She had just moved into her unit on Saturday, March 31, 2024."

"Silver Point Plaza was an old facility that needed updating. It did not meet the needs of my dad, but the staff seemed to be very friendly and eager. The place was clean and provided activities. "

"We like Carefield Pleasanton Memory Care. The only downside was (it's not that big a distance), but it would take us 45 minutes to an hour to get there because of traffic and stuff. The Bay Area traffic is a total nightmare and you're only going a few miles up the freeway and that can take you an hour. In the event of an emergency, I don't want a place that's far away. The staff there was very nice. We saw two people and we also met the chef that came in and gave us samples of their food which were excellent. My sister especially liked the rooms. They were much larger. It allows you to bring more of your own furniture and personal belongings from home. Even if you're sharing a room, it was much, much bigger. These rooms were large enough to bring in a recliner, an extra chair, your dresser from home, put up your own TV on the wall. It was a newer facility and it catered to much larger rooms so that you could have a living space. If it was a private room, you had room for a lot of furniture in there if you wanted to bring personal items. There was room there for tables and chairs, a sofa if you wanted visitors and that kind of stuff. We like the facility. I saw a room where people were playing bingo. The downside for me was the facility was too big. I like the idea that these rooms were large, but in doing so, it also meant you had large corridors and I was afraid that my mother would never find her way back to the room. I love the birdcages. I walked in and they had several birds in this birdcage. My mother is a huge fan of birds. She always has birdfeeders out and feeds all the birds in her yard. This large cage with four or five little parakeets or whatever just filled up the whole room when you walked into the lobby. The lobby was bigger than my house. I would be very happy eating there, but we only had some appetizers and a dessert and I took the rest of the dessert with me. I just thought it was too large to navigate for somebody that has memory issues."

"I went to Palo Alto Commons for my husband. We love it. The most important thing is that they treated us as humans coming to them. Their main goal is the well-being of the body, brains, and minds of the residents. And also, this is a very small place. It's a small population, only 29 people, and each one of those people had their own individual caregivers, and they developed a relationship with them. And that is wonderful, and that is where my husband is. Also, they said they're being fully entertained with different activities, so the day will not be stressful for them. My husband loves music. He used to play the guitar. He was a dancer. So, this is a place that is suitable for him. The staff was wonderful. The facility was wonderful. There is facility transportation to wherever he wants to go and whoever he wants to go with, him and me, or maybe with some relatives."

"I went here. It's really beautiful. I liked the fact that they have a dedicated staff so that the residents would know who their caregivers were. Where my husband was before, there would be like a pool of caregivers, and he would never know which caregiver he would have on a given day and that used to bother him because there were certain ones that he liked, certain other ones he did not like. It was difficult to establish a routine that way, whereas here they would assign particular caregivers and this would be the caregiver team, and you would always know that. That's what they said they were going to do, so I thought that would be much better, especially for someone who is beginning to have some memory problems. It's much better to have a smaller number of people and known people. They're very nice looking rooms, they're nicely carpeted, nicely painted. The little kitchenette areas are nicely organized."

"I toured Emerald Valley. It's $10000 for the two-bedroom. It's a decorated and luxurious environment. I like it, but I can't afford it. It's a very convenient area, which is a huge difference from the one in San Ramon. It's very easy to go to all kinds of outside environments, and traffic-wise, it is a more convenient location. The lady who introduced me is very good. She did her job very well. The place is like a five-star hotel. It's very bright and very new. The room is very beautiful and better than the other places. It's very high-end. The refrigerator is a large one and new, too."

"My Parents room is spacious clean and very comfortable. All of the staff that I have come in contact with are polite, caring and professional. The common areas of the facility are very inviting and nicely arranged, there are plenty of places to sit, relax and converse with others. The food is very good and family members can join their kin in the dining room at a very small extra charge. We are very pleased our parents are here."

"The Parkview RCH#2 is very nice, and the people are very nice. It's assisted living, and my wife moved there. She is currently out again because she's hospitalized. They provide activities like taking them out a little bit. Most of the elderlies are in wheelchairs, so they put them out in the backyard and do some light exercise or things like that. They make them comfortable. The residents get 3 meals a day. If they have a favorite food, they can ask for their favorite food."

"My wife moved to Atria Sunnyvale. The facility was nice and clean, and everything was well organized. The rooms are fine. I was impressed with the gentleman that gave me the tour. He was very thorough in explaining everything about how their program worked, how they did things, and so forth. So he took the time to show me around."

"I was at Vi at Palo Alto for rehab. It was so fantastic. It was like being on a cruise. They were wonderful. All the physical therapists, the caregivers were very kind. I had my own room with a great view. The food was fantastic. I was in a wheelchair, but they invited me to the piano. They had a piano. Everybody got together listening to the piano. I'm also a vegetarian. They noticed that I wasn't eating very well, so they asked the nutritionist to talk with me. They were making me special meals of brie sandwiches and all that. They even brought me wine for dinner. The nutritionist, Joanne was a jewel. She came to my room and wanted to know what I would like to eat."
