What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Villas at San Bernardino during daytime and nighttime hours?
This number differs depending on the week/month/time frame the question is being asked. Our staffing ratio is not determined by resident count. We feel that is extremely dangerous to do, although most people look for this answer based on the number of residents/number of staff members. If we have 8 care staff for 100 residents, what is your first thought? Now if we told you 90 of those residents are independent... not a bad ratio, right? Now if we told you 40 of those residents are hospice residents....HORRIBLE ratio, right? Therefore, we determine staffing ratios based on resident acuity level, not the number of residents. Obviously that acuity level is fluid and ever changing, so our staffing levels truly vary weekly/monthly, etc.
If Villas at San Bernardino accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?
Pets are free to enjoy the beautiful outdoors walking paths and sitting areas. There is also a grassy area outside of Assisted Living for pets to utilize. Pets are also free to enjoy our living room area as long as they remain on a leash and are house broken.
