I've been in Villas at San Bernardino for almost five years now. I like the caring staff and all the activities they have for us. It's the staff who makes it a nice place to live. They're very responsive if you have a need. The housekeeping keeps the place clean. I have a single room with a hospital bed that I need and a wheelchair. I'm on the second floor. There are two elevators. Today, they were taking people shopping. They have a nature walk, early bird dominoes, share the good news, Chronicle and reminiscing, and chitchat with the chef who is very good. Our food is very good. There's a board posted outside the dining room where they list things for people who don't have the calendar to read. Mainly I partake in bingo, which we have three times a week. There's an afternoon dominoes game, an afternoon movie, which I never watch, afternoon exercise class at 2:00, and at 3:00, and creative collage. From 4:00 to 7:00, they have board games. You can do that in the living room or in our library, and then they have film night and popcorn. They have the library and a couple of friends and I here exchange books. If you can't live on your own, this is a good place to be. It's reasonable. I'm happy here. Our executive director is outstanding.

My mom is at Villas at San Bernardino. I like the care and the understanding of the staff. My mom is unique. She requires a lot of attention and the staff works very well with her, from events or incidences, anything. They're just very attentive and caring. Secondly, I like the activity level at the place. They always have something going on. There are different events. It's positive. Compared to others, it seems like there is a lot of activities to keep the residents entertained and busy. My mom raves about the food. She said they have great food and she looks forward to eating, which is important. They supply appliances. The unit was clean and freshly painted and we've added stuff to it and made changes, but everything was adequate when she moved in. I have no complaints on it. They have an outdoor garden. They have the ability to walk around the facility. It's kind of in a busy neighborhood. It's next to a freeway so that might be a little bit of a negative, but I know that there's a garden out there and that the residents use it. They have three meals a day and they have access to food all the time. I'm very happy with them. I've never seen anything dirty. It's always clean. It's always busy. It's the activity level and the vibrancy that attracted me because I looked at a lot.

My mom is at Villas at San Bernardino. I like the facility, but the main reason why I like it is Kenya, the executive director. I've known him for a while. He's just outstanding. When you call or you have an issue, it gets resolved and he's always kind and professional and he gets it taken care of. The facility is nice, the staff is kind, the receptionists are nice, but he's the primary one. It's fully staffed, it's 24-hour care, and very clean. It's nice and well maintained. They serve three meals a day. They have physical therapy, they have crafts, everything you would hope for to help her with her cognitive thinking so they take real good care of her. The food smells good and looks delicious.

We toured Villas at San Bernardino. What I like best is all the amenities that they have. What I like least is the amount of money required to move in. The staff members were very friendly. The facilities were top-rated. The place was outstanding.

I like the general manager at Villas at San Bernardino. He's dynamite. He hasn't done anything wrong. Everything has been perfect. I get along with the staff fine. My apartment is big. I'm gonna be here the rest of life probably. It's good. It's a one-bedroom. They have bingo, once a month, they have entertainment come in, they have exercise, and they have a barber shop in here. We got a courtyard, a smoking area, and you got a long walk around the building. It's great. It seems new.

Toured this facility on Tuesday, 9-23-25. Was greeted upon arrival by Kenya and Crystal. Both were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Kenya and Crystal were a joy and our experience was very positive. The facility is spacious, very clean and all of the amenities to make this a pleasant home for my brother. My husband and I appreciated the time spent with us by Kenya and Crystal. They are an asset to this facility.

My parents and I chose Villas at San Bernardino as the best place for them to be comfortable and cared for in December 2020. They moved in on January 1st, 2021. My father’s health began to decline after a few months and VASB was supportive; staff genuinely cared about him. VASB was attentive and exceeded my expectations at a very difficult time for my mother and me. I trust in their care and compassion. We all expect this type of care for our parents and loved ones, but having had terrible experience with another highly recommended local assisted living facility, I know that isn’t the case everywhere. When my father passed away last year, my mother chose to stay at VASB rather than moving in with my brother or me. She knows she can count on the staff to assist her, she is comfortable with the routine, and they manage her medications. Staff frequently check on her. In December she shattered her pelvis and was able to come home to VASB and recover. My mother is doing well and I trust the management that has been there the last several years to continue exceptional care for her and their communication with me.

I went for the assisted living section of Villas at San Bernardino. I was referred to come here by a family friend whose father lives here. I came today on behalf of my great aunt and the administrator was so open to giving me a tour because the marketer was with another family. It felt good walking in off the street and having the red carpet rolled out for me and looking at us as people and not as revenue and really wanting to know what our needs were to make sure that we were properly taken care of. I just want people to know that if they are in need, don't sleep on the Villas, come and take a look. Kenya, and the wellness director, Dolce, were extremely accommodating. Everything was nice and clean. There were no smells and no odors. Everything was quite lovely. I was able to see the dining room. I was able to see the activities area and then they have a lovely patio outside for residents with the walkway, so if somebody just wanted to be able to walk outside to have fresh air, I thought that was nice. Other places that we have toured, you can only walk inside and up and down the hallways but here, my great aunt will be able to walk outside and actually have fresh air and be safe. Even though this facility is clean, I've seen some communities that are newer.

My wife is currently at the Villas at San Bernardino. She's in the memory care unit. They do both assisted and memory care. They're very clean. The food smells good. The only thing that they're lacking at all is just a little bit of understaffing, but everybody's having a problem with that. The rooms are nice especially in assisted living, because, memory care has to be under lock and key whereas assisted living does not. They have an elevator. The staff is very nice and very friendly. Nobody's perfect, but they try hard and they're very good. They seem to be very knowledgeable. I just find it hard where to find fault with them. They have a chef. For my wife, everything has to be pureed. She can't eat anything solid without choking, so they make everything. They can fulfill any special diet. She has a roommate and the roommate's daughter and son-in-law, I've met them and talked to them, and they said they looked far and wide and couldn't find a better place.

I toured Villas at San Bernardino. What we saw all looked very nice. I have no complaints and no negatives that I know of. The facilities are just very clean, inviting, and homey. When I stepped inside the community, the atmosphere felt very friendly and comfortable. The layout is very nice. The sizes of the rooms are adequate, and the dining area was very nice, too.

From the minute I walked into Villas at San Bernardino I was extremely satisfied. I felt like I was part of the family. The reception was very welcoming. The director came and introduced himself to us. I saw the dining room, which looked like a restaurant, and I was just totally impressed. The residents there looked happy and content. Then what they did for us, which just blew me away, was when we arrived about lunchtime, they served us lunch. They gave us the menu and let us sit in their room for a banquet. It was just a private room, like if your family were to come and eat with you. It was very impressive. The tour was impeccable. I felt like we were at a hotel, like at a Marriott or something. The setup is just beautiful. It's very clean and you can tell how well the place is by the residents. They had smiles on their faces, came up and spoke to us, and shared their opinions about the place with us. It's topnotch. I had driven by that place many times before and I thought it was way out of my budget, but after going in I realized it is possible. If my brother would help me, we would have to pay out of pocket. He could go there, but it would have to be a one-bedroom. The rooms were very nice. I was very pleased. It's somewhere I would want to go to myself, if I had to. There was a mix of people of ethnic backgrounds there, because we're African American, so it was nice to see some African American faces as well as caucasian faces and Hispanic faces. So that made me feel comfortable. They were excellent. They had a salad bar. I was so impressed.

I had an in-person tour here. Overall, the tour was very, very nice. It's a very nice location. It was excellent. The staff was very nice, friendly, and explained everything very well. The dining area was kind of like a small restaurant with a full menu. The staff showed me the menu and foods they would be serving that day, and it was very nice. The facility was very clean and smelled good. There were residents in the common areas. They looked good and well-cared for. They have a patio area where there's a fountain and outdoor seating. The staff gave me a calendar of events, and they have like a game night and a movie night. Everyone was friendly.

It was a very clean place. They do activities with the memory care residents, and they showed us all the programs that they do for the day. There are security doors, but they don't lock them in. There will be an alarm that'll go off after a few seconds, and they'll just be within the building. The rooms are very clean. They don't mix men and women, too. They answered all our questions and told us what's allowed and what's not. They have a couple of common rooms. One was where they can sit and watch TV, and then another place where they can drink coffee or eat pastries. It's almost like a library because there's nothing there but books. If they want to sit in the patio area, they can also sit outside and read or do whatever they want to do.

I went here. It was a beautiful facility, very nice, people seemed very friendly and nice. I saw a studio apartment, it was small, but it was very nicely decorated to show what you could do with it, and we saw a one-bedroom apartment also, and the bathrooms were extremely handicapped-accessible, very nice. They had a very filled calendar of activities, they played bingo, they had crafts, music, and movies. We didn't eat, but they showed us the food. It looked great. Everything was very nice there. The staff I met was very nice.

I went here. The staff was great and knowledgeable. It's a really beautiful facility. The dining area was clean and well-stocked. It's a gorgeous facility. It didn't look like a nursing home. They have a movie room, a game room, an outside patio, and a TV room downstairs. They did not take me to the memory care area because it's a locked area. They have a central courtyard with locked gates, so residents could get out that way, but they couldn't go anywhere.

My mom is here. They're great. If it wasn't for COVID, it would feel like a resort. It's really nice. The people there are very caring. My mom is picky and she has absolutely nothing, but good things to say about all the helpers. They pride themselves on their food. This is something that they brag about, that their staff eats there too, because the food is so good and it's mostly fresh. My mom can't believe how good the food is. She's been there since September, and you don't usually find that in a group living situation like this. My mom is 95 years old, and she says, "I'm gonna have to go on a diet, I'm gaining too much weight, 'cause it's so good." Also, they have an activity director who really tries to make sure there's something going on and they frequently have a woman or some other entertainers who come and sing or whatever on the patio, distanced away from the residents. It's very hard right now because of COVID, but the place has really the potential to be so good and the people are just so nice. In spite of the pandemic, they load up whoever wants to go into this nice touring van that they have, and they drive around and they look at things. One time, they went all the way to Oakland, and they take them sightseeing and driving around neighborhoods. They have a library and a woman who plays the piano every night. My mom and some other women sit and they'd sing hymns together, but they have to be 6 feet apart. Recently, they had some people that tested positive for COVID. They had to have everybody stay in their rooms and they tested everybody. Now, it's going away and they're starting to come out and be able to eat again in the dining room. There's a hair salon there, and my mom was able to utilize that one time before COVID emerged again in California; they have to follow the rules of the State. They have a nice patio with a fountain where the residents can go sit outside, and they call it 'the backyard.' They have sidewalks around the facility, so that the residents can walk around. It is right next to a freeway, but you can't hear it. The neighborhood is not that great, but the home itself is very nice. They're doing their best, and they really care. Again, my mom is picky, but she's been real pleased how clean everything is.

It is a very nice and very clean place. They have lots of activities and they have parties going on all the time but maybe not now with the coronavirus. I would have chosen that place for my husband. The dining room was clean. But I didn't see any activities when I was there. They had a library where you can go in and read anytime you wanted to. You can get cookies there, which was nice. They have a special room for movies, too. It's a lot smaller place but it has lots of things going on. It is also very clean. The staff who assisted me was very helpful.

I was impressed with them. They gave us all their information. I didn't see a lot of interaction between their staff members and what-not, but we did go into a couple of rooms that they had available. They were very nice. It was one location where I thought about placing my mother, but it was so far away from where we live. They had a small library and a small movie theater. The staff member who showed us around was very nice and very informative. I liked that they monitor who goes in and who goes out. They have surveillance, which I really appreciate.

The staff and the food were incredible here. The staff member who took us around was wonderful. She came in on her day off to meet with us. We met the director of activities, who even ate lunch with us. The apartment was very spacious, one of largest apartments we've seen, and it was very well maintained. They had a library, a meeting room, and a computer room.
