"Guardian Angel Home Care is absolutely wonderful. My father-in-law is absolutely happy there. He has just blossomed since he got there. He gets individual attention and is thriving. He loves the food and has gained weight since he's been there. They keep him very busy, go out and let him use the exercise bicycle which he loves. They're very good in taking time to spend with him so he can go out and exercise. They're really good. I would rate the value for the money a 5 because I know how much it costs to take care of him, and it's not cheap."

"What I liked the most about Abundant Residential Living Services Inc. was that it was a house and so the environment was not like a hospital feel. I liked that it seemed more personal and more welcoming than conventional assisted living for my father's transition to go from his home to another home. My father could not do much when he was there, but I liked that they had family-style meals together at a dining room table (if they chose to do so) and had home-cooked meals. They had animals in the backyard that he could see, too. There were some issues in the beginning that I didn't like. Sometimes they told me that they would have two people during the day at all times, and they did not. They'd have new people in, which I think is not comfortable for the elderly, in my opinion. If they can make their employees happy, they probably wouldn't leave and we wouldn't have new faces all the time. Two people were good though, but every once in a while, there'd be a brand new person."

"I had to place my parent in a home and this was just like having him at my own home. It was well home cooked meals and like family taking care of him."

"We stayed in Las Palmas Estates last December. The food is great, the people are great, but they have bedbugs. You don't do very much there. They had a list of activities, we didn't do much, we played bingo. We went to the Christmas party. I think sometimes they have somebody come in and do people's hair. I know they're doing people's nails. They need to listen to their people because I talked to the manager, I told her, other people told me they were being bitten. She says "We don't have bed bugs." I mean, my daughter got bitten terribly, the first night we were there. We brought bedding, and after that, she wasn't."

"My parents like St. Thomas Retirement Center; they're happy there. The room is very clean and fairly large. The staff members are excellent. They are very professional and caring. It is an older establishment from the 1980s, but they're doing some remodeling. It is a very good value."

"When i toured Lifespring senior campus the staff were very good at answering all are questions regarding grandmas care the grounds were well kept with many flower residents were enjoying bingo in the main hall we could smell lunch cooking it smelled wonderful and all the residents seemed to be enjoying the activity for there was lots of laughter and smiles. The rooms are spacious and very neat and clean I would recommend this facility Lifespring has been serving the community for twenty years with a excellent reputation in caring for seniors I give Lifespring five stars *****"

"My mother was a resident of this facility for the past 3 years. The staff treated her very well and took very good care of my mother. She enjoyed being there. She didn't particulary like the food but I saw what they were feeding her and it was fine. They were always so kind to fix her something she did want so she'd eat or give her the food I dropped off for her. The staff always contacted me if there was any issue with my mom and were always very helpful. The facility may not be the most up-to-date but it was a decent place that was decently priced and I have no regrets with my mom's stay there. She was happy and safe. "

"My brother was in New Bethany in Los Banos a year ago for three months. We liked it because it's here in town. It's a little expensive, but it's easier for me. It's very nice, very clean, well done, and I don't have anything bad to say about it. It's not super exceptional, but they treated him well there. The facility itself was absolutely gorgeous. It's well landscaped, it has a well-furnished inside, and it's very cozy. They also had it well done on the holidays. The staff was very good, friendly, and helpful. For activities, they had a game room."
