What I liked the most about Abundant Residential Living Services Inc. was that it was a house and so the environment was not like a hospital feel. I liked that it seemed more personal and more welcoming than conventional assisted living for my father's transition to go from his home to another home. My father could not do much when he was there, but I liked that they had family-style meals together at a dining room table (if they chose to do so) and had home-cooked meals. They had animals in the backyard that he could see, too. There were some issues in the beginning that I didn't like. Sometimes they told me that they would have two people during the day at all times, and they did not. They'd have new people in, which I think is not comfortable for the elderly, in my opinion. If they can make their employees happy, they probably wouldn't leave and we wouldn't have new faces all the time. Two people were good though, but every once in a while, there'd be a brand new person.
