We're in Castle Vista Senior Duplex Community right now. This one's a three-bedroom and has two full bathrooms. It's a gated community, and it is $1,700. They're very nice, and I really like it here. Everything is great. Once a month, they do lunches, they have coffee and donuts once a week, and they have bingo. They have dinners on holidays. I like my apartment a lot. I've seen a lot of places that were not independent living, just two bedrooms, and they're like $2,000, and they weren't as nice as the one I live in. Everything is updated. Everything is new. I have new hardwood floors and new bathrooms. Everything is nice. The staff is very nice. The food is good. They left a gift for me on my doorstep on Christmas, which was really nice.

Karin and Jennifer are in charge of the deposits. Castle Vista prices go up twice a year which is also against the law, but they name the second increase something other than a rent increase to get away with it. Nonetheless two price increases happen every year,a rent increase and something else every year. This is a bad place for those two reasons and for people on limited incomes, plus they will find every reason they can to keep your deposit if you choose to move even if you leave your place very clean. Enter there at your own risk since you have this warning! In two years you will be paying considerably more than when you first moved in.

Castle Vista is a gated community with individual houses for rent for seniors. There is no yard maintenance required -- the facility takes care of it and they seem to do a good job. It’s not an apartment -- it’s a single home. It was bigger, nice, and it looked like they touched it up. They’ve got the gym, swimming pool and sauna. They've got sidewalks that look nice, too. I was satisfied with the cleanliness of the place.
