I went to Bret Harte Retirement Inn. It looked quaint and very beautiful, but I have macular degeneration, and it was a little dark for me. I found nothing wrong, and one thing I liked about it was you could go out the front door and walked to a number of shops. I know a lady who just moved there, and she showed us the tea room, and the things they had there. I have not eaten there, but she said the food is fine. They have a shuttle that takes you for groceries.

Bret Harte is an old residential building run by a family and they all seem like very warm and caring people. It's in the same neighbourhood as where my mother is living. The people that we met there all seemed to be pretty happy with the services. They invited us for lunch and I liked the food. They have entertainment on Fridays; they run movies a couple of times a week. They also have exercise classes and Bible study classes. It's not a lot but it seems reasonable.
