We are focused on ensuring that our residents enjoy the best day possible every day. Activities are customized that center around the personal experiences and preferences of our residents. Planned activities including music, karaoke, games, outdoor walks, chair exercises, arts and crafts, puzzles, reminiscence, and special events. We also recognize special occasions such as birthdays and holidays, and invite families to join the party and celebrate with their loved ones.

We provide sufficient staffing to supervise and assist our residents. Our objective is to provide a safe environment for our residents by reducing the risk of falls and fall-related injuries. Our bathrooms are equipped with grab bars and non-skid mats. Fire protection sprinkler system in place.

Routine and frequent communication with immediate family regarding changes in resident's physical and mental condition via phone, text, and email.
What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Splendor Valley during daytime and nighttime hours?
1:3 caregiver/resident ratio ensuring excellent care during daytime 1 caregiver is available for night supervision
What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?
Direct care staff must receive 20 hours of training prior to working independently, including 6 hours of dementia care training and 4 hours of training specific to postural supports, restricted health conditions, and hospice care. Direct care staff must receive an additional 20 hours of training within the first four weeks of employment, including 6 hours of training on dementia care. At least 16 hours of orientation training must include hands-on shadowing. Direct care staff must complete 20 hours of training annually, including 8 hours specific to dementia care and four hours specific to postural supports, restricted health conditions, and hospice care. All direct care staff assisting residents with self-administration of medication must complete 8 hours of annual medication training.

We provide sufficient staffing to supervise and assist our residents. Our objective is to provide a safe environment for our residents by reducing the risk of wandering. Each of our bedrooms have exit doors equipped with door exit alarms.

About Splendor Valley
Spendor Valley is a community that is operated by two full-time administrators who live on-site. Marisa, our full-time administrator, and caregiver is a registered pharmacist by profession, while Mark is a full-time co-administrator.
Our community features a newly renovated, comfortably elegant atmosphere. We offer personalized service and supervision to seniors who prefer a home-like family setting 24 hours a day, three home-cooked meals, snacks, and beverages; special diets as prescribed. We offer personalized care plans and regular customized wellness checks including blood pressure screening, temperature, and oxygen saturation measurements. Personal care services, including bathing, dressing and grooming, housekeeping and laundry and coordination of medical care with primary physician, nurses, pharmacists, and other medical professionals. We have wellness visits by a nurse and scheduling of transportation to physician appointments and scheduled activities. Regular communication and assessments with residents, family, and physician and medication management, assistance and monitoring by a pharmacist. Coordination with immediate family regarding changes in physical and mental condition.
