Merrill Gardens at Brentwood

I had an in-person tour of Merrill Gardens at Brentwood. Their restaurant facilities were very good. They had restaurants that were open 24 hours a day. I liked the size of their two-bedroom apartments. They provided your complete gas and electricity, a computer hooked up, and a full kitchen. The staff was very helpful, informative, and friendly. They had a beauty salon and a workout area. The only thing that deterred us from thinking about it was the financial aspect. They are expensive and added things such as transportation have a cost. They had on-site nursing care available 24 hours a day, which was kind of important as you get older.

Merrill Gardens at Brentwood is the brightest, cleanest, best-smelling, lightest, and friendliest place I visited. They have a really good activity list, and it's very full every day. They have several TV rooms, a workout room, a swimming pool, a card room, and a nice dining room. I saw a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom, and a studio, and all of them were very nice. They provide transportation. All the facilities have locked doors. They have combination locks that you have to use to get in and out. It's a very, very nice place.

I moved my wife into Merrill Gardens at Brentwood. It's like a five-star hotel. There's nothing bad about it. The personnel, the care, the food, the cleanliness, everything is top notch. Every third Thursday of every month they have a support group for dementia. The memory care there is excellent.
