"We chose Aster Place because of the facility, condition, and offering as far as care, dining facilities, and so on. Maintenance has been responsive. Living space is fine, new utilities, new appliances. The staff has all been very responsive to my request and needs, very accommodating, very personable, and professional. I'm using the dining facility and I am preparing food as well. I go three times a week to the fitness center where there's a personnel on-staff trained to work with people with Parkinson's. Facilities like this are more expensive than they should be. I suppose if it was assisted living it would be a different story, but independent living, it seems a bit pricy for our individual needs."

"I would not recommend this facility to anyone. My mother has been there for one week now for rehab after surgery. Their staffing is poor. They don't respond to call lights in a timely manner. My mother had two incidents in one day where her call light was on and no one came to assist her to get to the bathroom and she wet herself twice in one day! She is not incontinent - she just can't get up and walk to the bathroom by herself due to knee replacement surgery 10 day prior. She was there 5 days before they installed arms on the side of the toilet for her to use to get up. The arms are too narrow so she can't clean herself up after going to the bathroom which she is very capable of. Here we are 4 days later and still have not had wider arms installed. "

"Horrible experience this time on the rehab wing,they let my pain meds run out,told staff my bladder n left kidney were really hurting(I've had kidney failure twice,I suffer from chronic kidney disease)requested an ambulance they denied me told me to calm down there was nothing wrong they done blood work and a urine test came back positive for a urinary tract infection n bladder infection,my husband had to empty my trash strip my bed n put clean sheets on it for me,had a male aide that was drunk and he touched me inappropriately one nite this place needs shut down Pray I NEVER have to come back here"

"I have friends who live there and love it. They always post pictures of fun events they are having. They always talk about how nice the staff is. I know that when I’m ready to downsize, that is where I am going."

"I had a friend that was there at The Springs at Lafayette. He had a stroke, and he was there for a short period of time. I know that his wife was there also at the same time because she didn't wanna be alone, so they made accommodations for her. I'm sure she had to pay for that. I think she had a separate room, and it was kind of a temporary thing. His room was very, very roomy, very bright, and very modern. The facility was very new. There's exercise, the dining facility was good and very open, and I think they got a library. The staff was very helpful and very accommodating. I visited about a year ago before Covid."

"I liked Glasswater Creek of Lafayette a lot. It was big and roomy. It's a three-story building. No matter which floor you're on, they had gathering rooms. The rooms were bigger than the other place, and the rooms had a lot of storage. The dining room was nice, and they're not as restrictive. When we toured, we met everyone. The people that were living there, and the staff that walked by were very friendly. They have 24-hour medical staff, rehabilitation rooms, and exercise rooms. They just offered more than the other place did."

"My parents moved into the Village at Wesley Manor in 2006. In the past 15 years they have utilized almost every level of care at Wesley Manor, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and the Health Care Center. My father passed away in 2009 and my mother just recently passed away in 2/2021. In every situation and care level, my parents were treated with dignity and respect. I couldn't have been happier with all the team members and support staff at Wesley Manor. My sisters and I were grateful that our parents made the decision to move to Wesley Manor and this was where they wanted to live at the end of their lives."

"Staffing was very light and not very present at the time I was there. I wasn't sure it was a staffed facility at first! The grounds were very well cared for, clean and did not have any unpleasant odors. Parking was extremely limited. I'm certain that there would not be enough space if all the residents had visitors at the same time. The residents were in good health and seemed very happy. A large meeting room plus an attached sun porch provided a great venue for a birthday celebration. There were some puzzles and some children's toys available for our kids to be occupied while we conversed with our friends. "

"My grandmother is currently at McKinney Place for recovery and physical therapy. Her daughter chose that place as it was the closest for her to go to. It looks good enough for grandma to be there for the time being. They got an exercise room for physical therapy there. They got an area in the middle for the elderly to go outside for whatever amount of time and walk around. It looks like a nice place."

"Kokomo Place was the one that I spent the most time with because the staff was trying to help me get in there. There was a federal subsidy that I could get and then I'd be able to move in, but it didn't happen. It was OK. I could see myself being there. I was a little bit younger than most of the people I saw there. It was nice. I liked the rooms. I loved the place. They had a center garden that was just beautiful. The lady in charge that I spoke with was very nice and very helpful. All the food prepared was homemade. It was nice, but I couldn't afford it. The rooms were nice. They had the garden area in the center that was enclosed. It had beautiful flowers. It was very well maintained. The outside was beautiful, too. Where it was located, though, it's not like you could just get up and take a walk outside. There was no place to go because it was just streets and sidewalks. The lady in charge told me the food was all homemade, so that was encouraging. If they had a little more room where a person could walk around and stuff, it would have been nice, but it was a nice building and it's clean."

"It has individual garden homes. What I liked about it was the independent living residents could live independently but they still provide meals. The food is excellent, and they have a lot of activities going on. They had five different card games that I like to play, Bible study, weekly Church services, exercise programs, and a walking club. It is a very active community and they allow dogs. The staff is very client-oriented and very friendly. They have pendants to send a nurse to your casita in case of emergency."
