"The staff at Emeritus was a little pushy on wanting to sign us up, and we weren’t ready to make decision for my sister yet. The rooms looked fine and each resident has their own furniture. Everything looked very clean and nice, and there were no odors anywhere. They didn’t seem to have the sameentertainment facilities as the one in Westminster. "

"Rowntree Gardens was a very large place, but to me, the rooms were kind of like a hospital room. You could just stand in your doorway and see your window. No hallways, the closets were small, and the kitchen was very small. To other people, this place may fit perfectly for them. It's just not meeting my particular needs. The facility was very bright and clean. People were courteous as they showed me all around. They had a lot of things to do. They had movies, crafts, a chapel, and different things. We saw the cafeteria and the library that had a lot of books. It was nice. The lady that gave the tour was nice, too, and we had a good talk. Everyone was respectful. They didn't have a lot of parking though, but overall, it was a good tour."

"I toured Beach Terrace Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was bright with lots of natural sunlight. The interior, the way it was decorated was beautiful. The common space was huge. It just feels so welcoming. I saw the menu and it looked like a menu at a restaurant. What was on the menu was pretty interesting, like salmon, asparagus, squash, and stuff like that. I saw a shared room. It was nice. I like the semi-private room, and the room on each side was huge. You can really put a six-seating dining room table and a full-size bed. The shared bathroom was in between and they had doors from each side of the room for the bathroom. They had a big picture window. The staff was so gracious. He was so informative. The tour was guided by the guy who worked there, but the guy that I already had was the one who took me. He was the one who was already familiar with the place, and between what I heard and what I saw, I was more impressed with Beach Terrace."

"I visited Walnut Village. I loved the apartment that I looked at, and it was out in a quiet area. So for me, it was perfect. It just seems very friendly and nice. They have regular housekeeping and everything like that. They have a little store, a happy hour, and an indoor swimming pool. It was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. They went into great detail about the apartment. I was very happy with them. The food was excellent. The dining area was beautiful. lt's like dining at a beautiful restaurant. Everything was just perfect."

"Brookdale Brookhurst was very nice. I liked how small it was. Everyone was very pleasant and very nice. My friend didn't like the location though. It wasn't close to a lot of things as the other place was. They have lots of activities like bingo, an art class, a big library, a gym where they could do either therapy-type things or just a treadmill or something, beautiful gardens, and outside patios. The staff was great. They gave us lunch and it was very good. They gave us a sample of some jam that their head chef had made and it was very nice. They've got very friendly staff."

"Considering we are still battling Covid and have to deal with inconveniences, Oakmont has done a pretty good job of keeping residents safe and family members connected. The food is prepared fresh daily and the Chef is willing to accommodate special requests. Bus rides are given weekly, there's a Company driver who will drive you in the Oakmont Cadillac to your local doctor or appointment you need to attend. The facilities are beautiful and spotless. The activities are becoming more numerous as we navigate safely through Covid. Covid really put a damper on a lot of business practices. So Oakmont has done a pretty good job considering. "

"I'm leaning towards Integrity Guest Home. The tour was wonderful. Kathy gave us the tour, she's the owner, and she did great. She showed us a room, and everything was clean. The clients were sitting there watching TV. They seemed very peaceful. She did have a little backyard with a little patio where they could go sit outside, and when you go visit, they could sit outside there, too. It was very nice. It was a very tranquil environment. The fact that there were two caregivers made me feel comfortable. When I went to the previous one, there was only one caregiver there, and they were waiting for the second one to get there, which to me was kind of scary. They can accommodate 6 residents. There was a shared room and a private room. They said they take them outside. They have activities for them. Before COVID, they would drive them in a van to the senior center. When COVID is lifted, they will do that again."

"We have chosen Emerald Court. I liked the appearance. The place was superb. I thought it was a great place for me. The people were very friendly. They came up, introduced themselves, and made me feel at home. Even though I haven't moved in, they welcomed me to join them. It was a warm, friendly place. The room had a kitchenette with a two-burner stove and an oven, two bedrooms, two baths, a living room, and two great storage closets. We had a lunch there, and the food was delicious. My son, daughter-in-law, and my granddaughter thought it was great. The chef came over to meet us and introduced himself. The waiter was unbelievable, too."

"Carmel Village was beautiful. I’m sure it was the most expensive one, but it was so nicely appointed. The dining room and furniture looked really nice, and it was definitely updated it very recently. The staff was very nice and helpful, and you could tell that they took pride in the place. They had a library, a computer area, and a little gym. It was definitely the nicest one I've seen. It looked like they paid a lot of attention to detail in making it seem homey in an elegant way. "

"I toured Park View Estates Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was very modern-looking and very clean. The rooms were big and very beautiful. Your meals were included.
